I have eaten here a handful of times and have never been sick. I might have experienced cross contamination before but nothing serious. I always explain my need to staff and they are able to point out Gf options/accommodate. The food is delicious. I am not certain about the chips/tortilla being fried with other food but that could have been the source of CC. I will definitely ask about that before eating there again.
The complimentary chips (gf) “need” to be softened in the contaminated fryer. Same goes for the only gluten free base, the corn tortillas. The safest foods are the expensive iron skillet options which make a full meal with the rice and beans. It’s doable but the staff was pretty openly disinterested in accommodating and frustrated with my medical needs which never feels good.
