Oh my gosh, so delicious! They have a gluten-free Wednesday and this was one of the top two places I ate while visiting California! I had the Campanelle Guiliana pasta with gluten-free pasta substituted. The waiter tried to find me some thing to dip into the dipping sauce, but couldn’t find anything. That’s OK. He was so nice and the food was so delicious and highly recommended.
On Wednesday, they have a gluten free menu. It’s not available to view on the internet so I grabbed a menu. I was nervous because it was only my second time dining out since my diagnosis. The hostess was very knowledgeable about cross contact and patiently explained that they use clean water to boil the gluten free pasta. She also took the time to walk me through each dish on the regular menu that could be made gluten free on all other nights. She explained that the kitchen staff was trained on avoiding gluten cross contact. We ordered three different dinners. They were all delicious and I didn’t get sick! Definitely going back.
Service and food is excellent. Went on a Monday - special is an appetizer + 2 mains + a mini dessert for $65 for a list of items or $80 for the rest of the menu. They completely understand GF, subbing risotto for pasta. But on Wednesday they have GF pasta, rotating the type each week. Brussel spouts and Ciopino and scallops/lobster/risotto were excellent and $80. We skipped the included dessert since it wasn't GF, but they do have a flourless chocolate cake for extra. The portions were enough that we didn't need dessert :)
Highly recommend this excellent hidden little Italian restaurant. Food was fantastic and they are able to modify many of the dishes to make them gluten free. They marked my plate, cooked separately, manager came to talk to me. I felt very safe eating here and did not get sick. Had the scallops and they were amazing. Also every Wednesday they have a gluten free night for celiacs with gluten free pasta dishes, specifically geared to our crowd. Can't wait to go back!
