Think a Chipotle bowl but with Korean food instead of Mexican. Build your own bowl with a rice base or cold rice noodles. In house soy sauce is Tamari so their Japche is safe as well as a base. Add proteins- Tofu and Steak are GF (for some reason they list the Tofu as GF but not the steak but the chef and their website state there is no gluten in the steak marinade). Chicken options are not safe. Must be something else in the chicken marinade. All the vegetable add-ons are safe as well. Sauce-wise stay away from the teriyaki, Korean red and siracha but good to go with the Sesame Ginger, Cucumber Wasabi or best name ever Yum-Yum sauce. Complimentary miso soup is not GF. Great value, healthy tasty fast casual food.
The staff was informed and shared where gluten was on the line. I like that everything started off gf, and all gluten items were toward the end. There were a few protein and sauce options for gf, and all the bases and veggies were gf as well. We are often traveling this route when visiting family, so it’s always a treat to find affordable celiac options along our way. Lastly, it was tasty! So it was a win all around..
This was my first trip to bibibop and I was pleasantly surprised to find all the gluten free options posted on their menu board. The manager on duty was also very helpful in pointing out which items were gluten friendly. The food was delicious.
Went to Columbus to visit some friends and they brought us here, I called ahead and they explained the menu and again when I went in. They also have the menu and an allergen menu online!!! It's set up like Chipotle, absolutely delicious. We will be making trips down to. Columbus just for this experience again!! They are also opening a few in the Cleveland area.
Not Celiac Friendly, maybe wheat sensitive friendly but this is not a gluten free restaurant. Sauces all contain gluten, which is odd because sriracha should be safe but they've ruined it. If they want to grow the will need to make changes. Avoid this place if you eat gluten free.
