Biergarten am Muffatwerk

You find the English menu on paper cards outside the beer garden. First place your drink order at the "shanke". Then you return to the "kasse" which is under an umbrella behind you, where they have the cash register and a list of their menu with all the allergies. Anything with an A has gluten in it. Their sausages: the 1 Paar Hermannsdorfer Bio-Bratwürste ( And they have an English menu which would list this as one pair of grilled sausages organic with potato salad and/or sauerkraut) I had it with the sauerkraut as their potato salad is listed as having gluten. The pork steak, which is listed as a Bio-Schweinensteak, is also gluten free. The fish, which are mackerel or trout are also listed as gluten-free and I believe the poultry sausages are also gluten free.

This is a lovely peaceful outdoor beer garden where there are a number of locals this evening, it's Sunday night and a few American tourists.

My partner had the pork steak and I had the sausage. He loved the potato salad, but if you are gluten free you cannot eat it. The sauerkraut is good. Good. He will want to have mustard which is found to the left of the window where you pick up your food. You'll also see a dispenser there for ketchup. Their German Ketchup is not as sweet as American ketchup and I recommend you try it
