Bill and Tim’s offers an excellent tasting gluten-free bun and their BBQ sandwiches are incredibly good. However, there was one instance a while back in which they gave me a gluten bun on my sandwich when I requested a gluten-free one due to celiac and I got extremely sick. It took me a long time to trust them again and the same mistake has not been made so far. Be very cautious visiting this place!
I have been here a few times in the past and just found it to be okay, however my sister and I who are both Celiac ate here today and were very pleased. Lots of GF options, the staff was knowledgeable about cross contamination, the food was affordable and it was delicious! The meat is so good. Will definitely be back again soon!
The chef said the fryer was not dedicated so no fries or tots. My Celiac son settled on enchiladas which were fantastic btw. I am giving them three stars because I am grateful for their honestly but definitely not a gluten free environment. I would give them five stars for their food and service.
Friendly staff, great gluten free bun. All meats are gluten free, bbq sauce also, as well as most of their sides. So plenty to choose from, but I’m not sure if the kitchen works celiac proof.
Bill & Tim's is our go-to anytime we don't feel like cooking. Fantastic food, great staff, and excellent handling procedures. Make certain to ask the staff what is and is not GF - I have not seen a written menu, but the kitchen staff are very knowledgeable. All sauces and dressings are gluten-free and prepared in-house. Best GF bun I have ever had - actually one of the best buns, period. Things I have had GF: rice bowl, burger, enchiladas, tacos, tri-tip salad. The only thing I'm bummed about here is that their tater tots are not gluten-free. However, all potato chips are. If you order the corn chips, make sure to specify gluten-free - they use the gluten fryer by default for those.
They know what they’re doing. If you ask, they can make your sandwich (w/ a damn decent bun) separately. Don’t know kitchen conditions , but have been here several times w/o symptoms.
Very good food! Separate space in kitchen for gluten free. Server was very polite when I mentioned allergy and had knowledge of what did and did not have gluten on their menu. He even went to The kitchen and let them all know. The server even made me a gluten free drink because all of their beers have gluten. Went above and beyond. Definently will be back when I come to Eugene again.
