Ate there three times over the last year, the first time the server seemed quite knowledgable and I was fine after. The second and third time the server seemed vague about the protocols and I left feeling sick after. I have minimal symptoms with exposure so cannot confirm that is what happened but I will not be returning.

Be careful! I ordered a Chicken Bistro burger, said I was Celiac, and it came out as a regular burger. The only reason I noticed was because my father ordered the same burger and it looked identical. The bun had some white flour on the top. The waitress said it was gluten free but brought my plate back to the kitchen to double check.. The manager came out and confirmed that it was a gluten bun. She said that the chef was back from 4 months away. They made a new plate but I didn't eat it as I was worried about other cross contamination, which was probable. I ate some bacon and fries and am having a minor rection (red face and mouth sores) so I doubt anything is handled with the care that they claim. Won't be going back, unfortunately. My parents live here and it was one of the only good places in Nanaimo. Ask your questions and don't assume they are taking things seriously in the kitchen !

Excellent experience
Menu clearly supported all dietary requirements. Server was new but knowledgeable and ensured she checked with the kitchen in any items (sauces) she was unclear about.
Enjoyed a delicious gluten free bun on my burger and fries from a dedicated fryer.

Excellent burgers and fries. Can adapt most things on the menu to be gluten free. The server was very knowledgeable and assured me it was celiac safe. I highly recommend.
