This restaurant is outstanding! I had the duck pate served with a warm, grilled, moist, thick, dark brown pumpernickel-reminiscent gluten free bread that was absolutely delicious! My daughter had the cassoulet without the breadcrumbs to make it gluten free. I had the scallops which were seared perfectly and served with risotto and an autumnal squash purée. The staff was friendly and well educated. I was informed that the chef's daughter has celiac disease, so he is especially conscientious of gluten free needs. Highly recommend!

Updating review. The server I had this evening told me the dish I ordered was gluten free, when I asked. I specifically asked if the french fries were gluten free and was told yes (so I assumed they had a dedicated fryer, since on my last visit I was told about the owner’s daughter having celiac disease). When the plate was served to me, I checked again (as I’ve learned to do over the years), and asked again if the dish was gluten free, and again I was told, “yes”. As I was eating my third french fry, the server suddenly came over and snatched my plate away and said, “this is gluten free but not safe for celiacs.” The server did not apologize. When I reminded her that I had asked repeatedly if the dish was gluten free, her attitude was defensive and condescending, insisting that it is gluten free if it’s just contaminated by gluten. So, If you come here, be sure to say celiac gluten free. Just saying gluten free means you could get contaminated food.
