Review of Bistro Ka Japanese Restaurant

Was excited to try a new place. One star for gluten free soy sauce and teriyaki sauce. One star for the waitress double checking ingredients with the chefs. There is no dedicated gluten free menu. Ordered a tuna dish without sauce (plain tuna, mango and avocado). Arrived with crispy battered onions on top. Returned it notifying the gentleman that dropped it off that I have an allergy. Brought the dish back with an additional garnishment and then I found a couple pieces of onion still there. They had picked them off and re-served me the same dish. Waitress did apologize. Ordered a roll with real crab, shrimp, avocado and salmon. Took one bite and felt off. It tasted sweet. I asked where the shrimp was and why it tasted sweet. She said they chopped the shrimp with the crab. But didn't know why it would be sweet. Took another bite, asked again about the sweetness. Then she tells me the crab isn't fresh but arrives in a broth. Luckily there is a Target with Benadryl a few hundred feet away.
