Something fried hidden in my salad. Looks like this I normal for them. Another post says the same thing.

I used to love the food and atmosphere here.
Before I ordered I looked our server straight in the eyes and told him that I have celiac, and my sweet friend also did the same and reiterates to him how sick I get with even a tiny cross contamination, in a very kind but frank way.
I ordered a burger on a bed of lettuce, had them cook it in aluminum for cross contamination. (It was sooo delicious!!)
Got a side salad because they told me the fryer would have cross contamination- (sounds like a dream- right?)
Until I got half way through my salad and found crumbs, and and then a big crouton.
They picked the croutons out of the salad!! After we had talked about how sick I got after cross contamination.
Long story short:
I got extremely sick. I will never go back.
If you aren’t celiac, it’s one of the best burgers and atmospheres. If you are celiac eat before you go, and go and get a cider or a glass of wine, enjoy the atmosphere with your friends but I wouldn’t trust the food.

This place was good. The staff was knowledge about the food and whether it was safe to eat. Although, when I received my food it was touching another friend’s food when she was holding it and they had ordered a sandwich. She also said the fries were gluten free, but they were fried with things containing gluten!
Therefore, the food can be prepared gluten-free but no promises on the idea of cross contamination... for those who are very sensitive like myself
Lots of options without buns/ bread, all of the salads and dressings, and plenty of ciders to choose from. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about GF needs and gave great recommendations. I highly recommend Bittercreek Alehouse.
We always eat the street tacos and they are awesome and they usually have gluten free cider.
NO gluten free menu. Options available, such as leaving bread/buns off, or subbing corn tortillas. Had a delicious chicken Apple walnut salad.
Totally got sick here. Ordered "gluten free" according to server. Got a skin rash and stomach ache for days. Def not a dedicated gf restaurant.
They carry new planet amber which is ok. I tasted their dry dark cider even though I don't care for cider and it was very good. Friendly helpful staff and good atmosphere.
