Asked for gluten free and dairy free accommodations. It was taking awhile so the waiter said they were remaking it because they put cheese on it. Half an hour later I get my salad and it looked fine until I started to eat it and there were pieces of cheese at the bottom. Definitely worried about having a reaction since I stated when I ordered I have a gluten and dairy allergy and to leave off any ingredient that had either… they put cheese on and tried to pick it off unsuccessfully
Shocked to find the online menu did not match the in-house menu. Caution if you order pick-up/take out. On line, I saw three things I would be interested in eating. Once seated, I learned none of them were actually “ gluten sensitive”. We tipped the waitress for the water and sad information, then left.
Their GF pizza is amazing! I love that they have a separate allergy menu. Also our server told us most things can also be made GF if you ask specially. They might just leave something off. I’ve eaten here several times and have had no issues, and I’m celiac.
Don’t know what it is about BJ’s that their staff has such a hard time correctly executing a gluten-free meal. Today just their turkey burger, sub GF bun, salad. They had to remake it 2ce—took a half hour to do—& still got it wrong. I gave them 2 stars because the manager comped my meal. This is the 4th time we’ve been to a BJ’s (first time for Southcenter location), and 3rd time my meal has been wrong. This is the last straw. We won’t be back.
I absolutely loved my experience at BJ's. The staff was extremely friendly and careful when i ordered my G Free pizza and pazookie. The pizza was delicious, and i did not get sick afterwards. Definitely coming back (:
I don’t necessarily think the “gluten sensitive” options are the safest in general for celiac but I’ve had good luck with the salmon bowl with quinoa rice & cauliflower rice, it’s excellent. Make sure you do baked, not blacked due to cross contact. Anything else I’ve ordered from pizza to burgers I’ve had reactions. So I’ll stick to this one item.
I safely order the Hickey Brisket & Bacon burger once a month. I get a gluten free bun and mashed potatoes. No fries, not safe. And I have gotten the gluten free pazookie with ice cream in the to go cups on the side. Went this week and no problems again. Nima tested it the first time and continue to trust it since.
