I originally wanted to order the Great White Pizza with the gluten free crust, but our server recommended the Chicken Bacon Ranch instead. He wasn't sure if the alfredo sauce on the Great White was entirely gluten free and he wanted to be extra safe since I have Celiac. My new pizza was delicious and I ate the whole thing! I also ordered a gluten free mini pizookie and that was amazing as always. The service was very quick & I didn't feel sick the day after.
Only one star because I had to . My daughter never eats out because of the anxiety of being glutened. Tonight, she was glutened so badly, we barely made it home before she became violently ill. My husband found a noodle in his gluten free dish. The gluten free dishes were delivered to the table at the same time with the gluten dishes, waitress knocked my daughters silverware off of her plate and picked it up with her gluten contaminated hands, not even realizing this could be an issue. She ordered a gluten free pizza and a gluten free pazookie. Never again. Now my daughter will spend the rest of her birthday and the days following sick.
I eat here regularly with my family. BBQ chicken chopped salad "with no onion strings" and a gluten allergy explained is what I order. Others in my party get the gluten free pizza. We have never gotten ill from this location and feel comfortable eating here. For extra calories and enjoyment, get the gluten free chocolate chip pizookie. It's TOO good.
Love BJs! It tastes great and I actually talked to a manager when they first started their gf menu years ago and they are very good at avoiding cross contamination. One of the best places to get gf pizza and the pazookie is wonderful too, of course!
Went there for dinner last night. I am celiac. I got their prime rib French dip. I had no reaction. I read in some of the reviews before that the french fries are gluten-free. They say on the menu that you can substitute and get the gluten-free fries. However, they do not have a separate fryer so I wouldn’t suggest that. I ordered the side salad instead.
I ordered takeout via their website; on the menu while ordering it has a special section labeled "gluten sensitive." I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and the cheddar mashed potatoes for the side. It was delicious! I am on vacation with my family for a week and we will probably eat there again on this trip and probably future trips
I was nervous about coming here since it hasn’t been reviewed in a while, but I had a great experience! While there were only a handful of options on the menu (I believe 2 salads, 2 bowls, gf buns for burgers and gf crust for pizza, and 1 pizookie) I felt very relieved seeing those items clearly labeled on the menu. I got the BJ’s brewhouse bowl (you can add meat or keep it vegetarian, I kept mine vegetarian to keep it simple) and let my server know I had celiac disease and couldn’t have gluten. He told me there’s a separate area in the kitchen where they would prepare my meal and that they would be very careful. My meal came out first to prevent cross contamination as much as possible, and it was delicious! I then got a gf chocolate chip pizookie, which was brought out before the others at the table and with the ice cream still in its cup to prevent cross contamination. It was delicious! I am very grateful for this experience, and I did not get sick!
Just be careful and ask for the manager to place your order! (A waiter once convinced us that they had a dedicated fryer so we “could have the fries”. I spoke to the manager just in case and he said they did have a different fryer but the fries are still breaded so absolutely not GF!)
