While I haven’t had issues in the past, when they are busy I would be hesitant to eat here. According to our server, they no longer have the chicken tenders and the “gluten free” donuts they have are made at Blakes with shared fryers. So I had some fries and hard cider, but the donuts that I bought are now a waste since the person that sold them to me said they were prepared separately. I asked about them caring gluten free specialties, and one person said they said they have never heard of them. So all I have to say is be careful 😕

Had a great meal (that didn’t make me sick!!!) tonight at Blake's Orchard & Cider Mill in Armada! Our server was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what celiac disease was. My meal came out with the ticket on it (she said it was an accident, but I was happy to see it) and it read, “**allergy-celiac disease** I react severely and easily, so we don’t go out much anymore. The GF donut is awesome as well. I haven’t been able to have fries or chicken strips at a restaurant in forever. Unsure if the regular cider here is GF, need to call in the morning about it as I can’t find online (bf was the one who ran and bought it). All of the HARD cider here is GF for sure though- that’s what I was drinking in the little cup. I got a flight of them!

My daughter has CD. Blake’s advertises GF fries as an option. We started the whole encounter by telling our server that she has a “gluten allergy”. They served her a split hotdog on a GF bun and fries. The fries were the same as on my plate (I’m not GF) and I asked and the waitress said they only serve gluten free fries now and got rid of the sidewinder fries. I tasted them and immediately knew they were battered. My daughter had eaten 5 or 6 and they were touching her GF sandwich. The waitress said she talked to the kitchen and they would make her the “other fries”. Manager came over with plain potato fries. Manager didn’t seem to understand gluten free. So the server, the kitchen, and the manager all failed. We have eaten here previously with no issues - last time was amazing - but this is unacceptable. The manager was kind - explained that they just changed fries but didn’t communicate about ingredients. They took care of us. But please be careful. If the fries are golden brown then don’t proceed and ask to have your whole meal remade.

We eat here often and have never had an issue. It’s a limited menu but it gets the job done, so they also have dessert available.
As far as donuts they carry gluten free specialties.
