Service was great and the food was delicious. My server was very patient with all the questions I had, and my plate even came out with an "allergy" stick in it. Mostly everything was either naturally gluten free or had a GF option, but the only safe dessert was a vanilla bean cheesecake that she said was made outside of the restaurant and shipped in, it was a nice touch to finish dinner. Didn't feel sick after, will definitely be back!
The staff understood the difference between GF and Celiac. They pointed out the menu items that were not safe for Celiac right away when I told them of my allergy. The steak and mashed potatoes were delicious! I would come back here with my family since they truly understood what Celiac is and cared for our safety!
They mark food GF and C for celiac, which marks food without risk for cross contamination. I had the chips and guacamole with lime grilled chicken tacos. Everything is made from scratch. They were super careful with food and very knowledgeable. Had no reaction after, highly recommend.
I was floored by all of the clearly-marked items on the menu. The server was not only super friendly, but knew about all of the ins-and-outs of Celiac-safe foods. The queso was mind-blowing, and my stuffed chili rellenos were excellent! I would recommend this exceptional restaurant to any Celiac visiting Fort Collins.
Notified waiter that I was celiac. She was excellent and confirmed that my food would be left with a celiac note. She was able to answer any questions I had. The chili relleno was absolutely delicious as was the blue agave margarita. I would highly recommend this place for anyone with celiac. Do make reservations in advance if possible.
I have eaten at the Denver location and most recently Ft. Collins. They have amazing safe options. The signature enchiladas (shrimp and lobster) is absolutely delish as well as the Orangarita! I enjoy Coyote Grill but Blue Agave is BOUGIE deliciousness! I am crazy sensitive to even a crumb…
Update: came here for great plates (again) and had a delicious meal. Note for those with celiac that the little corn chip tortilla bowl they use for happy hour guacamole is fried in gluten contaminated oil so ask for it in a regular metal/glass bowl instead. We asked for this and it never came out, but a manager took it off our check and even gave us guacamole and chips free of charge to go. Great atmosphere & polite knowledgeable service! Absolutely amazing! We came here as part of the Great Plates event as it normally would be a bit out of our price range for a regular night out... everything was delicious!! Guacamole is fantastic (we did their normal recipe but has cilantro instead of green Chile’s), Caesar salad dressing was great and whatever they marinate their tomatoes in is awesome, and entrees were delicious too! We got the lime tequila chicken and blue corn enchiladas. I don’t normally like beans but their black beans were flavorful as well. What I love the MOST is the gluten free options though :) I have celiac and love being able to eat almost everything on the menu and being able to share food with my bf since so many options are gluten free. Drinks were good too, they don’t skimp the alcohol! Cute decor instead and great service.
I only gave this 3 stars because they listed items on the menu as gluten free that are made in a shared fryer. The regular house chips are gf as they are purchased. We ordered the chorizo mango nachos. Fortunately they knew to ask if I was celiac. The manager came and told us that the chips used for the dish were made in a shared fryer. We got them made with the house chips and they were great. They seem to understand when you say "Celiac" but I think they could do a bit better labeling on the menu. Overall, everyone enjoyed their meals.
I'm impressed that they have a menu with so many gluten free options. But tonight I got totally freaked out because after I politely asked the waiter if they would use fresh gloves to make my food since I get really sick from wheat...he said...Sure, you are a person with a REAL problem, not like all these FAD people. We get so tired of them sometimes we, (makes a pouring motion) add a little something for them. Then he goes on to say that in the past someone has come in and said I'm allergic to onions and they've given them onions because ...who's allergic to onions. No one. And they were fine. This could be one clueless waiter, but I'm wondering about the general attitude of the staff. I feel weird ever going there again and frankly felt scared eating my food.
Lots of delicious gluten free options on the menu. Chips are made offsite so they are certified gluten free. Will definitely be returning again and again!
