Tim (owner/manager) came to our table when informed that I have celiac disease. Very familiar with it as his son’s friend has it. I also have a shellfish allergy, but wanted to find a place where my husband and other diners could enjoy seafood. I had the short ribs and they were tasty. There were gluten free options marked on menu and Tim said he would oversee my meal to avoid cross contamination (chef change gloves, separate preparation etc). I enjoyed my meal and will be back.

They had a handwritten gluten free menu. The waitress looked bemused when I told her I needed to be gluten free and She said she has been asked so many times about the ingredients and food prep that she was confident they would meet my needs. She knew that cross contamination would issue with the fryer. So I felt there was a good chance the food would come out alright. I ordered the crab dip for my husband and I to split. She brought it out with bread and I had to ask what I could eat it with, “oh, well I could bring out celery”. It did go well with the celery, but I felt they could have some option at the ready like a bag of gf chips. The crab dip was so-so taste wise. My entree with the Crab Saute. Which literally consisted of lumps of crab and steamed shrimp, with out seasoning or butter. Taste wise, the crab was good but the shrimp a little over cooked. My sides were the corn on the cob brought out in the husk, which was very sweet even though they they didnt bring out butter. And creole rice, which I double checked the ingredients and sounded fine. Taste wise it was dry but mildly spicy from being cooked with Andouille sausage. Overall, very friendly and accommodating. But the taste was lackluster. No immediate response indicating gluten exposure but I will edit this review if that changes.
Also I see other people reviewed that the chips were gf, they are not because they are fried in the same frier used for everything.
I had the snow crab legs, which were amazing. They also have complimentary chips and dip that is GF. My waitress was knowledgeable and very helpful. They don't have a separate menu, so you do have to hope you have a server who is willing to help you out.

Not very gluten friendly- no gluten free bun for a burger. Was looking for a sandwich for lunch- guess it's okay if you want snow crab legs
Soooo yummy. It can be as gluten free friendly or not, as you want. I ate the all-you-can-eat snow crab legs and they were soooo good! It does get quite busy in the high season and the wait can be long sometimes. But it's worth it!

I got the all you can eat snow crab, not bad! A little bland. It was my first time with crab and it was not my favorite. The waitress seemed thrown off when i asked for a GF menu, not sure why.... not bad over all, but not dying to go back.
Great food. Outstanding taste. Plentiful portions. However, our server was a rookie on her first night and served a cream of crab with a flour roux. Delicious but a gluten source. Owner quickly apologized and covered the meal, but damage is done. Recommend the restaurant and food enthusiastically, but strongly recommend dealing only with Tim the owner/manager or the chef and not the waitstaff. This is good advice anywhere!
