I’ve never had an waitstaff asure me so intensely of how their kitchen is careful to avoid cross contamination. However, after eating here I was definitely glutenened. I’m sure the kitchen was careful with my preparation, but there’s no way they were careful during the morning prep. And in a French restaurant, there’s almost as much flour as butter, so the possibility for CC is high. However, I took my chances. This place might be great for someone with milder gluten intolerance, but unfortunately not for my celiac self.
I went here for lunch and this place was amazing! The staff were very knowledgeable and understanding. They have gf items marked on their menu and I asked about a few items not marked gf and they were able to make substitutions go make it gf. They had gf bread for the sandwiches and French onion soup. I had the Croque Monsieur (watch out for the béchamel sauce which is made with flour), the French onion soup with gf bread, and a salad with vinaigrette. And for dessert I had a gf cookie skillet with gelato! Everything was so heavenly and I am already planning to come back soon!
