Had tuna sashimi. Waiter explained what was gluten free, but did not double check and seemed uncertain. Meal came with soy sauce-esque sauce, but drizzle did not touch tuna. He was certain that fish of the day and shrimp and grits was gluten free. Did not indicate celiac friendly practices.
This restaurant was awesome. Even though they didn't have a specific gluten free menu. Our waitress was very knowledgable. She had a list from the chef of what is gluten free on the menu. There was tons of options to choose from even a delicious desert. I will definitely recommend giving it a try.
Lots of oysters, fresh fish, Cioppino, sushi, steamed shellfish, chicken entrees, gluten free sides and creme brulee. happy hour includes wings that can be only baked, tacos made with corn tortillas, artichokes, etc. Very accommodating. Salad was fresh and cold!
Nice meal! Restaurant now has a GF menu, mostly seafood but there’s also some chicken and beef. My server seemed knowledgeable. I was excited to try the scalloped potatoes and they were good. Nice atmosphere. There’s a heated patio but we ate inside because it was cold outside. There’s a bar side and a restaurant side. It’s right by the train tracks and we got to see at least a few go by, which we liked. Probably noisy outside though.
I’ve eaten here 3 times. I’m gluten sensitive not celiac. They will prepare any fresh seafood gluten free and have GF sides, but fries are cooked in shared fryer. Service is good without being intrusive, indoor and outdoor seating in a fabulous waterside location. I’ll return for sure.
Wanted to be stoked with my supposed gf tortilla chips and artichoke dip along with my chicken caesar, minus croutons, but had a bad reaction. Supposedly fryer is 100% gf, but with all the bread around, it seems there’s big cross contamination going on for celiacs. So disappointed. Also, quite expensive for lunch. Seemed like a dinner menu.
