Super cute vibe and great coffee. But when ordering food please be sure the staff understands you have an allergy. I got so sick after have the pumpkin pancakes with whipped cream (I ordered the vegan whipped cream but maybe the vegan part got missed in the order process). Anyway, I will return and be more deliberate when ordering.
I love this place. This was the first restaurant I ate at on my first visit to Amsterdam. The menu has gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian options. The staff and service is also friendly and welcoming. I had the pumpkin pancakes which are vegan and gluten free. I also had a flat white with almond milk. The atmosphere is also clean and beautiful. This is a good spot to go for breakfast and lunch, or if you just have a sweet tooth and want some yummy vegan cake.
I ordered the Cauliflower Power bowl with seared tuna sashimi - absolutely delicious!! Very large portion, I couldn't finish it. I definitely recommend this dish.
I also tried the Chiamisu (chia seed, cacao & yogurt). The flavor was good, but it was runny and hard to eat with a spoon. More like a thick smoothie.
They had a number of other yummy looking gluten free options on the menu. Wish I was staying in town longer to try the others dishes.
I got the gluten free avocado toast. My meal was pretty good however when it first came out the waiter said it was gluten free and it WAS NOT. The bread looked too good to be true so I’m glad I double checked. Our other waiter was much more knowledgeable. They had dairy free whipped cream as well!
Very good options - both cake and breakfast was available.
Very nice place. Professional service. I had a wonderful club sandwich with gluten free bread to take away. I'm only gluten intolerant, no problems with contamination.
Me and mum always fine it hard to find where to eat as we are coeliacs. A quick google search told us to try blushing for lunch and we were met by the lovely waitress feline who made us feel comfortable and helped us with our dinner recommendations for us to try later on in our holiday
based on other reviews I was expecting this place to have a better procedure for ensuring less cross contamination but everything is cooked in the same area and the gluten free bread is cooked with all the regular bread. hoping I don’t get sick! lovely, cute atmosphere though :)
Swarma chicken salad was excellent. I was afraid to eat because first waiter said not safe for celiac. Next said fine. I ordered and when I went inside saw the prep area with all the bread. I asked the waiter to ask that they used new gloves clean surfaces etc. seemed like I needed to tell them. I did not get sick.
honestly the highlight of my entire trip to amsterdam. best food with great service, delish coffee, and a ton of both savory and sweet gluten free options (even all their sandwiches can be gf & the bread was so good i was concerned it was real flour). i am writing this review in the cafe because it was such a delicious meal!!
Staff are really knowledgeable about CC. Also really good pumpkin pancakes with a bit of cinnamon. The server informed the kitchen before I ordered. The chef put new gloves on and used a different pan. I would recommend! Check on the cakes as our server told us they weren’t suitable for me as cooked in a contaminated environment.
Honestly, this was only "meh." I had the omelette with GF toast. The bread was so hard it was almost impossible to cut through the crust without it flying across the room. The omelette was fine but lacked flavour. I ordered an iced latte and it came in a glass so insanely hot I had to wait until my meal was finished and still had to wrap it in a napkin to even touch the glass. I'm sure just an oversight and a glass was given to me right out of the dishwasher, but that on top of really, incredibly slow and inattentive service when the restaurant only had 2 other tables was underwhelming to me. I didn't return during the rest of my trip. Others have had good experiences so I may have caught them on a bad day but I found better options during my stay in Amsterdam
Good options for breakfast/brunch! Allergens are clearly marked on the menu.
Also dairy free and vegan options if you have multiple intolerances.
