Really, really good! All the flavors were gluten free at the time, so the only risk was the cones. And it wasn’t a big deal at all when I asked her to get a fresh scoop and fresh container of ice cream. Right on La Jolla Cove — a must try if you like gelato!

I am celiac and dairy free, multiple choices for me! When I asked for the vegan ice cream the girl asked if I had a dairy allergy when I told her no I had a “gluten allergy” she explained that they use gluten waffle cones so she could either open new containers of the flavors I wanted or get a new scoop which ever I felt most comfortable with!! I loved this so much considering the line was down the street she didn’t feel rushed or annoyed!

Great gelato in little Italy! The cashier was so kind and explained to me that they do make one flavor (that they weren’t selling today) that is not gluten free and they do process everything in the same facility but sanitize between flavors. They said if you are extremely sensitive, there is a tiny chance there could be cross contact. I felt safe with that explanation and appreciated their transparency, which is rare! All the other flavors are made without gluten. Super good!
