They do have Houten free batter for fish and chips, however, no dedicated fryer. It all goes in the same oil. How is that GF??? Not much choices and I wS hard pressed to find any clams in the chowder .
Bob’s serves fish and chips, biscuits, clam chowder, sandwiches along with other items that aren’t gluten free. The team was totally honest that the restaurant is not celiac safe. They were totally up for wearing fresh gloves and taking precautions. They also recommended a celiac safe restaurant but I stayed and had awesome grilled prawns and rock crab chowder.
I had the grilled prawn taco on a corn tortilla. The taco sauce has dairy and I can’t have dairy. They make their own dairy free dressings so I had my taco topped with Cilantro Lime dressing.
Fabulous dairy free dressings. They have GF chocolate torte. Yum
They fry in the same fryer and the fish they use for the the regular and the gluten free fish is pre-battered and frozen about 4 days prior. It also seemed like they used the hardest cut for the gluten free fish. We did voice our complaints and the plate was refunded which was nice. Overall from a gluten free standpoint, not the safest.
I ordered the gluten free fish and chips and they where horrible. I could not even eat them. they had a rotten smell. I would not take the risk to even try eating here.
Bob's serves grilled wild salmon and salads with gluten free dressings. Bob's also has Gluten Free fish and chips. The fish and chips aren't for those who have severe gluten intolerance because they are prepared in the same oil as the regular fish and chips. But, if you have a mild to medium gluten intolerance these fish and chips are awesome. Bob's also has gluten free soup options. The price point is totally reasonable.
