Save your time & money. I'm posting this in October of 2022, so maybe they were dealing with supply chain issues and staff shortages, but I have to be totally honest: It was pretty terrible. The whole place looked dirty and unkept, and quite frankly, so did the servers.

They were out of ribs, so we ordered other meat. The pulled pork was ok. I can't say much else about it. It was edible. The chicken was so dry I couldn't eat it. The green beans had no flavor at all. They didn't taste bad, they just didn't taste like anything at all. No seasoning. We found some leaves in the beans that looked like they might have been collard greens. These were completely flavorless as well. Very strange. I found several pieces of dried out pulled pork throughout my mashed sweet potatoes. I thought that was a strange thing to season sweet potatoes with, so I checked my son's sweet potatoes. No pork. Seems like they may have mistakenly dropped some pork in the sweet potatoes, and served it up in my serving. They were not seasoned well either. In fact, before I found the pork, I had taken a bite of sweet potatoes that tasted putrid. I thought maybe I had gotten a bite of a bad spot in the potato or something, so I took another bite. That's when I found the pulled pork. My husband asked for butter, and they brought us 2 little tiny individual butters. There were 4 of us. He asked for more. She brought us 3.

We did not order my son a kids meal, but his portions were half the size of ours at the full adult menu price. (Our portion sizes were already quite small in my opinion.)

I do want to say that I *think* they took precautions. I don't know. Could be luck. I didn't get sick, however the food was practically inedible.

I would not recommend this place.

This was our first time here, as we were traveling on vacation and needed a safe place for my son to eat. After checking the reviews here we felt it was a safe bet. The food was excellent and our server actually asked if he needed to be gluten free because of a sensitivity or celiac. He understood about cross contamination and let us know about the risks that were there. We come from a small, rural area, so the beauty of eating somewhere that someone understood our needs was amazing! My son ordered some smoked chicken and a couple of the GF sides and had no issues whatsoever.

Unfortunately, this time at Bonefire was not nearly as good or allergy safe as our prior visits over a year ago. The ribs and pulled pork were good (bbq sauce not as good as I remembered)!but the sides were lacking flavor. They do not have a dedicated fryer so many items were not available to me.

Server named James is in the process of being diagnosis of Celiac disease. He was very specific about kitchen practices to minimize cross contamination. He’s also been educating kitchen staff.

We found this place on a cross-country road trip. Thought our navi had failed us when it said “arrived” because there’s no prominent signage. But a whole lotta folks were going inside, and confirmed we were at the right place. And how! Live music, delicious bbq, and such friendly service - attuned to GF requirements. We’ll hit this place again when we come back through town.

Very good food and sauce and knowledgeable staff, but there need to be more gf options including a gf fryer!

Very tasty, very open to my questions, though no dedicated gf fryer for fries/breaded items.

While there is no GF menu, our friendly server explained which choices were GF. Was warned of possible kitchen cross contamination but I had no problem with my meal. Had choice of meats, sauces, and several sides.
