Had a great experience here. The waitress was very aware of cross-contamination issues. The menu has gf options clearly listed. As others have mentioned, they have a dedicated fryer (helloooooo french fries!). When the food was brought to the table, the server always noted that it was gf, and a separate server brought my husband's plates that contained gluten. Also, the gf brownie that they have as a dessert option was super rich and delicious. All in all, it was a very relaxed and enjoyable dining experience in a really beautiful location. I'll definitely be back.

Extremely knowledgeable waiters and kitchen when it comes to gluten free dining. The moment I mentioned I was celiac the waiter ensured me that they have a dedicated gluten free fryer and an area for food preparation. Food was delicious, I felt so comfortable and I definitely plan on returning.

Lots of great options, servers knowledgeable, great ambiance (the acoustics are well done, so you don’t hear people talking as much as many places!), and I feel safe eating here. Delicious food.

Went here for a family dinner and had the seafood tower between four of us. The food was phenomenal, and clearly marked gluten free. Staff was knowledgeable too, which is always a bonus!

Boom+Batten has only been open for a few days so they are fine tuning the menu items and kitchen protocols but we were very impressed with the lunch they prepared for us. We were able to speak with the executive chef who explained that they take Celiac and GF very seriously and assured us that, although gluten is present in the kitchen, he and his team have worked hard to establish protocols to reduce or eliminate any chance of cross contamination. A dedicated fryer will be in use for GF only items and the Dungeness Crab Pizza I had was prepared in a separate area of the kitchen and baked in a separate oven from the other pizzas. I must say that it was one of the tastiest GF pizzas I’ve had. The chef stated that he outsources the GF base from specialty supplier and he’s really managed to nail with this one. It was so delicious that even my non GF husband loved it too! That’s a true compliment indeed! The menu is varied with a lovely seafood selection (tuna ceviche was gorgeous!!!), steaks, salads and burgers. The kitchen can prepare most everything GF. The dessert we shared was called Baked Yogurt and it was phenomenal- creamy and fresh, it was the perfect ending to a delicious meal. The yogurt usually comes with an oat topping but the kitchen will adjust to make it GF. Definitely give this beautiful restaurant a try and enjoy those wonderful harbour views while you enjoy some tasty food!!
