Less gluten-free options than the other food halls we visited and no menu in the food hall has gluten-free items clearly listed. We decided on Umami (sushi restaurant) and the staff was very knowledgeable about which items contained gluten, unfortunately, it was essentially the whole menu except the Sashimi and Nigiri. The staff made me a great plate of nigiri and all of it was fantastic, they also went out of their way to a different restaurant to grab me a small amount of gluten-free soy sauce to accommodate, since they did not have any on-site.
The food hall was close to our hotel, but I would say unless you are craving sushi, this food hall had the least amount of gluten-free items available and you would be better off with one of the many other restaurants in Reykjavik that can easily accommodate someone with Celiac disease.
The employees were knowledgeable about what was gluten free. There are not a lot of options here but Hipstur and Wok had options. At Wok, I got rice noodles, broccoli, spinach and chicken with the garlic and salt sauce. I also had the Gull Lite beer! I had no reaction and very good!
This is a food hall with 9 restaurant. This is not an American Mall food court. You have sushi, soft tacos, and asian rice noodle options. The sushi place will supply gf soy sauce, the taco place has soft corn taco shells and the asian place (wok) has gf noodles. We ate here many nights during our stay and had no adverse reactions. There is a risk of some cross contamination so be warned.
