We had the same situation. The service was terrible, wrong food brought out, took forever, overcharged. The manager did handle it after, but not a good experience.

Very sad and disappointed overall. Menu stated many gluten free options including fried chicken, desserts and other items but nothing had been updated and weren’t available. The only gluten free options were seafood which was difficult with a seafood allergy amongst the celiac individuals. The waiter proceeded to forget about our wine we ordered. We were delivered the wrong food item and then charged for it on the bill. When bringing the attention to the error, the waiter was extremely rude and unprofessional. The manager ended up getting involved and diffused the situation professionally. The food was overall blah and not worth having.

I had fried calamari and fried chicken...I repeat...FRIED CHICKEN! They had briefly removed FC from the menu, but it’s back!!! It came with four delicious pieces of chicken, the best tasting braised greens and spoon bread (cornbread with jalapeños). I highly recommend. I wasn’t 100% fond of the calamari dip but the calamari was delish. There were plenty of other options, too, but the chicken was outstanding!!!

Gluten free FRIED chicken was AHHHMAZING!!! I'm not celiac but Hasimotos so my gluten reaction is not as noticable so I can't say how strict their handling of everything was but they seemed very knowledgeable and he said they had a gluten free fryer. Turkey leg appetizer was also great!

Staff have me a gluten free menu and asked if I was a celiac. Talked through the cross contamination. The food was high end and my fish in a bag and desert was amazing. Very impressed.

I was really excited to try Borgne based on the stellar reviews, but had a seriously disappointing visit. Yes, they have a gluten free menu, but according to our waiter anything fried uses a shared frier and is cross contaminated. That left only a couple of choices. I chose fish in a bag, and it ended up being raw in the middle. I left my meal uneaten and got room service instead.

This place was superb in every way. Very celiac aware and when I called earlier in day they put a manager or chef on phone who explained their dedicated friers, etc. It was kinda mellow the night I was there and I ate at the bar. Max at the bar was awesome and walked me through their gf menu and made recommendations, socialized with me and made custom craft cocktails for me. As for the food... truly spot-on flavors and preparation. I had turkey neck (seriously, order that!) and the gf fried chicken which was perfect (crisp but not greasy, tender, well seasoned but not spicy). I might come back to New Orleans just to eat here again!! And I felt super comfortable that celiac-safe.

There was a gluten free menu that was a version of the regular menu marked up with the gf items and those that could be prepared gf. The waitress was not very knowledgeable. The food was very good. I ordered oysters as appetizer and the drum as dinner. There were several deserts that were gf but was too full! I would Hobbs k if I were in town.

They have menus available on-site that mark which dishes are already gluten-free and which dishes can be altered to be gluten-free. There are quite a few options available, and the food is very good.

Has a gluten-free menu. Bartender was incredibly helpful in tweaking signature cocktails to make them gluten-free (even when I had no idea what vodka is gluten free).
