I just want to start by saying, I LOVE Boris and Horton. I bring my dog here all the time and will continue to do so. I just will not be eating their gluten free pastries anymore. I asked the barista if anything was gluten free and she pointed to a cookie jar of peanut butter cookies. I ate one and was sick about 2 hours later. I’ve since learned better than to trust places with gluten pastries to properly prepare the gluten free ones. I will continue to get coffee here and enjoy the place, but wanted to warn people that they definitely have issues of cross contamination here, so do not eat the pastries. There is one salad on the menu without gluten that I haven’t tried, so do so at your own risk. I imagine it’s less likely to make you sick since the ingredients are freshly assembled.
