It was a sad day when the all gluten-free BimBeriBom closed, and the new owners — same group as run Chai Pani — said they would honor the legacy by having lots of gluten-free items. Not so much. This is Indian Street food, and most of it is made in a contaminated fryer. The staff has an allergen chart which they can read, but did not share. The net result was that only four kabob items, served over rice or over salad, are gluten-free. The lamb kabobs over about 4 ounces of rice were tasty, and served up faster than a MacDonalds. Lunch for two with non-alcoholic beverages came to $40 plus tip for a snack-size bowl. I won’t be going back.
