They do have a gluten free roll for the sandwiches, along with a few other items that should be gluten free, however they are not marked on the menu and the waitress was knowledgeable on what was and was not gluten free.

Gluten Intolerant

Review

A new business and owner opened in 2020 in an old, well established location in New Oxford.

We visited recently for dinner and found the place to be very pretty, nicely remodeled with lots of great food options and bar options if you want alcohol.

When we inquired about any GF product, the waitress said “she didn’t think so” but when we asked if their fryer was a dedicated fryer for fries, she immediately said “absolutely, only fries go in our fryer”, after asking again to be sure, she was very adamant it was for fries only. We informed her if its not, my wife could get very ill. And a third time, she was sure it was dedicated. Thirty five mins after dining, my wife was very ill, and in great pain. Called the facility and a female manager said no, the fryer was used for a variety of things. When i explained this could have killed some folks with gluten allergens all the mgr. could say was “I understand” i asked to speak to the owner, i was told he was drinking at the bar with friends, I could leave a msg.

As an owner of a GF bakery, I train my staff to know these details to avoid making customers ill or worse, killing one, this facility did not seem to care. We have since been informed by an employee there that the comment was made after we hung up the phone “if they cant have gluten they don’t need to come here”. Very true, we won’t be back. Its sad, we try to support all the local restaurants and this was a good one, but due to poor management, and concern for the safety of their customers, we won’t be revisiting nor recommending.
