Box Lunch

We had the BEST experience at Box Lunch. They were entirely familiar with celiac and gluten allergies, talked us through it despite being a busy day, and the incredible lady taking our order even asked if we were familiar with Find Me Gluten Free! She explained that her staff was completely educated on how to prepare gluten free and the wrap was DELICIOUS. Can’t wait to go again on our next trip to Ptown!

It’s a PTown staple! I got a hot wrap this time and it was a little too hot and oozy for me, but I love them all the same. Lots of variety, BASIL LEMONADE and friendly, allergen knowledgeable service.

The counter person had someone else with fresh gloves bring me my wrap which appeared to be prepared in a different part of the kitchen. Just a nice spot to get a decent lunch at with little worry.

My sandwich was delicious. The people working there were wonderful & understanding of my plight. They were also careful, they bagged my food separately from my friends.

Staff was well versed in gluten safety. She knew to use the separate prep area and sanitize the counter before making my sandwich. The Walberry sandwich was excellent. Very reasonably priced too.

I only give them a four star review because I was desperate for food and they closed two hours early the first time I went because it rained... They figured since they had to mop the floor anyway they might as well close? Very odd and not dependable.

When I went the second time , they were right near where I was staying so didn't go out of my way, the food was good. They asked if it was a preference or allergy. I'm pretty sure they used commercial wraps, they tasted kind of like the Aldi ones. The food was good, the prices were decent compared to everything else in Provincetown so overall it's a good option for a quick meal. I just would warn anyone who is depending on them that they seem to be pretty capricious in their house. I was there during one of the busiest weeks during the summer season so it's not like if a rural little shop closed during a blizzard.

The workers were so sweet and made me feel incredibly safe once I told them that I was celiac. The GF lobster roll wrap was delicious and I was reassured that they'd change gloves and that GF meals were prepared in a separate area. So glad I came here!

This place was amazing! The lady behind the counter was extremely knowledgeable and they prepared everything in a seperate area. The lobster roll was so good and the GF wraps were amazing. We went back twice and will be back!

I come to PTown every year for Memorial Day weekend and I get a wrap from Box Lunch every day for lunch. Julie, the owner, knows me and remembers my allergies even though I’m only in once a year. Everyone changes gloves, wipes down counters, and the gluten free wraps are so good. 10/10. Come here. Julie will take care of you.

Staff seemed very knowledgeable about celiac protocol. Assured me they take new ingredients out of cooler before I asked. Lobster roll wrap was better than one I had at the more fancy restaurants.

Had the lobster roll wrap. It was very good. The wrap was a little dry and brittle and somewhat detracted from the taste of the lobster. First world problems. Still pretty amazing to have a GF lobster wrap.

FANTASTIC GF lobster rolls! Came here for lunch on a Saturday. Before ordering the owners explained the GF options (many delicious offerings) and the sanitization and GF space precautions. Had the gilded (warm) lobster roll- hearty portion, amazingly flexible and tasty GF wrap that wasn’t dry or cracking like many do, and the lobster itself was cooked and seasoned perfectly. It was so good we came back for lunch on Sunday to try the cold lobster rolls- uses the same wrap and again the lobster was perfectly cooked. My bf and I agreed they were the best and most consistent lobster rolls we’ve ever had. The basil lemonade is a refreshing and well balanced complement to the meal! We sent our friends here too and neither my Celiac friend nor my gluten allergic self had any reaction!

We came around the lunch rush. The person behind the register and making the wraps was short handed but understood immediately the seriousness of my celiac disease and the preparation needed to make the food safe. She even mentioned this app! We had to wait a long time for our food (she filled all regular orders, even those that came in right after ours) first so she could clean the space. This was a little inconvenient but she told us ahead of time that she was behind and it would take a while. The food was tasty and 24 hours later I don’t have any symptoms!

Had the chipotle chicken wrap! Biggest GF wrap I’ve ever had, not dry and crumbly but very delicious!

This place is LEGIT. Took the time to clean all surfaces, talk through whether it was celiac or not, tables are wiped down, the whole deal. Wraps were delicious and staff was kind and understanding, definitely went the extra mile to make everything safe!

Amazing! My Celiac daughter had a wrap for the first time in years. They were extremely cautious and accommodating. The manager Julie was so helpful! They let us read ingredient labels and they took great caution of no cross contamination. Highly, highly recommend. This is a counter service - to go - with outdoor seating. Huge menu.

Be sure to say “this is an allergy”, even if you had them check the sauces for gluten and specifically order gluten free. If you don’t, they assume it is a preference only and prep your food on the same surface as the gluten containing food, with the same gloves, and they cut the wrap with the same knife. No steps taken to prevent cross contamination. After I brought up my concern, there was no apology, offer to remake it, or anything. Just a statement that next time I should tell them during ordering and then they will prep it in the back. Not my favorite thing.

Glad there was somewhere to get food around here, and thankful they work to change equipment and gloves when preparing for an allergy. But they forgot to tell me that they slice cheese and store it empty bread bags. I didn’t have time to wait for another one so I just took it even tho I have celiac and probs shouldn’t have. They also say the GF bread is made in a facility with wheat so idk. The salads might be a better option but I didn’t try one.
