Great range of galettes and sweet crepes that can be made GF. We had the sweet crepes and mine was made using buckwheat to make it suitable for a coeliac. The waiters were very attentive and double checked that the crepe I chose would be safe. Unfortunately we didn’t have the time to return to try the galettes. Lovely atmosphere, at the top of Takashimaya with indoor and outdoor seating.
The food was delicious! We had both savoury and sweet crepes as well as a salad. Sat outside and though it’s winter and it was cold, they have lap blankets and heated chairs 🙌🏼. The range of gf crepes is great making it hard to choose just one. Would definitely recommend it to those looking for something delicious and gf to eat.
IT IS NOT SAFE FOR CELIACS. After seeing the good reviews, I came to the restaurant and when I asked, they told me if they made them gluten-free and they insisted that I go in, but when I asked them if they made them separately, they told me that they use the same grill for everything that contains gluten as well, so it is not safe.
I felt so comfortable here as a coeliac! Whole menu can be gluten free and when I said I had a gluten allergy they knew exactly how to handle it. Crepes were very good! We sat outside and it was very hot but in the shade not too bad. Definitely recommend but you will be waiting 30-40 minutes for a table on weekends.
Best Crepes I ever had since I was in France! location is kind tricky but it’s in the train station 13th floor. It’s Amazing! It’s a must. I’m planning on going back for breakfast. Tonight I just went for dessert. The gf menu is incredible, so many options it was unbelievable. I had the apple cinnamon with vanilla ice cream.
Fantastic meal - two pages of GF French casual cuisine. Many buckwheat galettes and desserts. Most of staff are quite knowledgeable about GF. Chef/owner is especially so. He is French by birth and extremely knowledgeable about French cuisine. Also very friendly and asked many questions to assure good experience. All staff are very kindly and sensitive. Nice outdoor section with beautifully lit landscaping after dark. My gluten loving husband thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. We may come back tomorrow evening for our last meal in Tokyo. Located on 13th Floor of Takashimya Tower, located next to Shinjuku Station.
I was really pleased to find this place, it’s on the 13th floor but you can sit outside in the roof garden. Very friendly staff were used to gluten free. I had a savoury and a sweet galette and salad, 100% buckwheat crepes. Note that you should confirm with staff that you have allergies because my companion who has no dietary restrictions had a different type of crepe for dessert- but mine was buckwheat as I had explained when ordering. Everything was extremely delicious.
GF menu was incorporated on the main menu, galettes marked as GF, wait staff extremely nice and helpful! Loved the cider drink option too!
Located on the 13th floor of the Takashimaya department store, Breizh is a crepe shop that also does buckwheat galettes. The galettes are marked gluten-free and the waiter confirmed they were made with 100% buckwheat. There are sweet and savoury options. I had the dessert galette with apple compote and vanilla ice cream. It tasted really good but the galette itself was a little hard.
They have an extensive drink menu that includes a gluten-free cider. Waiters speak Japanese and French.
