PIZZA IS NOT SAFE. I went in late last night and asked if their fries and pizza were celiac safe and cooked separately. The hostess/bartender said yes. I then asked if the pizza was cooked in a separate oven and kept separate. She said yes. Found out like half an hour later this wasn’t true. I am seriously suffering the consequences. I thought I was asymptomatic up until this point so this must have been a lot of gluten. Today I called the restaurant back out of curiosity and the person on the phone instantly said no it is not cooked or prepared separately only the frier is safe. So there you go. Sucks because the pizza was delicious.
I don’t understand the high ratings for this place: no, I didn’t get sick, and yes, they had options; however, the food isn’t good. I guess if you like to eat your pizza with a spoon because it’s 95% sauce, this is definitely the place for you. Those with me (not gluten free) didn’t enjoy their meals either. As for the service, I ordered an Aloha (i.e. pineapple) pizza and it appeared they didn’t put pineapple on it. When I asked about it, I was nonchalantly told that the ‘chef’ must have forgotten it since there was “so much” I asked be left off the pizza. I literally requested no chili flakes or siracha sauce. And how does that make it okay to forget to put pineapple on a pineapple pizza? After pointing that out, I was then told it was because they use flour on the pineapple— okay, fine, except I then found tiny pieces of pineapple under the piles of sauce as I started eating it.
Wow! In town, stopped here and went to a Twins game. This place was awesome. Server was knowledgeable. We saw great ratings with comments about wings, but their pizza was one of the best GF pizzas I have had. Pizza was made in safe space and cooked in safe space. Dedicated fryer for fries and GF bone in AND boneless wings! Our family felt great after eating here. Awesome patio, service and food. I’m coming back!
