Had the weirdest interaction, I looked over the menu and it seemed okay. There was a salad with beets, steak and potatoes, and a chili that sounded like possibilities. So I asked if they used flour in their chili and the waitress got VERY RUDE immediately saying how annoying it is when people daily ask her about gluten free food, that they have no gluten free food.
When I explained that I'm not celiac, that for me cross contamination is not an issue and that I'm not looking for a fully dedicated kitchen... She cut me off and repeated herself.
I asked what in the preparation of the steak and potatoes includes gluten, if there's a sauce or something and she just kept repeating they have NO GLUTEN FREE FOODS.
Potatoes? Not gluten free. Side salad? Not gluten free.
At this point I realized she has no clue what she was talking about.
So we left.
Haven't been this attacked, it's like she took it personally how annoying people aren't well when everything else is a sandwich place, yeah, I DARED to inconvenience her.
Ended up at Le Grand Comptoir eating a salad.
