Terrible! The food was bland, insanely long wait for take out when not busy, horrible rude service and definitely not gluten free. I told them it was an allergy (pregnant so it's very important) and they said they would boil the pasta in separate water and guaranteed all sauces to be gluten free but I'm having a horrible reaction. I got a sauce that was supposed to have lobster in it but I think it was imitation crab which is probably where the gluten came from. I was reluctant to go here since the owner is a bigot and sneaky businessman but we gave it a chance. Never again. Horrible tasting and now I feel horrible.

Wheat Allergy

I have a severe Wheat allergy, and can tell when something has wheat or has been cross contaminated. I eat at Brioso probably every other month or so (which says a lot, considering I don't eat out much because of my allergy). My first time ordering, I ordered the GF BBQ pizza and had a minor reaction, which I guess was from the sauce. Since then, I now order the Chicken Alfredo with the GF penne. No reactions. Note: I ate here about 2 months ago, and my waiter informed me they had hired a new chef. The chef had boiled the broccoli in my pasta along with wheat pasta; but thank goodness, my waiter was worried and made sure he made a fresh plate with the GF pasta. Wish I would have gotten my waiter's name; as he was blessing or I would have ended up in the ER...

I visited Brioso with a friend after finding out they had gluten free pasta (penne) and their sauces were gluten free. The meal was great until my reaction hit. I stayed sick for a week afterward. I don't know if they accidentally gave me the wrong pasta or if it was the sauce. Either way, I won't attempt it again. Be very careful.

Was down with family to visit Clemson U. My wife and daughters have Celiac disease so finding gluten free is always a challenge while traveling. Brioso while being known for homemade fresh paste does offer one gluten free pasta option plus all of their homemade sauces are gluten free so they have some very tasty choices to top your pasta with. All they need to do to complete the package is find a good gluten free roll to add to the menu.
