I ate here recently, waiter was not very knowledgeable regarding celiac, gluten free, cross contamination. Menu items were limited, however, items were marked GF on the menu. No dessert options and ice cream was not GF due to the flavors they were offering such as cookie dough, birthday cake etc.

Brixx has great atmosphere for a chill night and great food. I always get the Pollo Piazza Pizza on the cauliflower crust. They also have a gluten free crust you can make any pizza on. They have other menu items marked, including buns for the burgers. They also have a Brixx cider! (Just make sure to ask, it only happened once but I did get a beer given to me accidentally).

Brixx & Barley has an extensive gluten free menu despite having “barley” in its name. Many items are gluten free and labeled like wings, gluten free pizza crust, and cauliflower pizza crust. Other items can be modified to be gluten free such as calamari. They also have a vegan menu. I ordered the 12” gluten free Detroit pizza. Very good!! Only downside is that the prices are high in my opinion - additional $4 for gluten free. As someone who has Celiac Disease, I felt safe eating at Brixx & Barley in Long Beach.

Felt really comfortable and relieved with the menu options which shows both gluten free and gluten free modification options. It was a very stress free and enjoyable experience

Went here recently and had the braised short rib. I made sure to specify gluten allergy and the waiter was very knowledgeable. I was nervous based on past reviews but I did not get sick! I’m not sure I would attempt the pizza even though they cook it on its own pan

I used to get food here and appreciated they knew so much about gluten free and I had many options. I’ve ordered from them twice in the past 6 months. The first time they put my burger on a regular bun. The second time I got very sick. I don’t get sick from eating out often, so this was definitely not gluten free. I won’t be going here anymore.
Waiter promised me GF pizza and cross contamination process was safe. I was skeptical. Got very sick.

Staff was very knowledgeable and friendly they have many gluten free options and food was very good
This place is a joke
All the staff looked like they were wired off of something illegal. Rude and unorganized. I ordered wings that she said were safe but did not know of any off the sauces were safe. So I went plain. They stated they were oven cooked.
I also ordered the ceviche. It came on top of toasted pita bread. It was not described in the menu. So I asked if I can have a new one just without any bread. I did inform her that I had Celiac Disease prior to placing my order and she Reassured me it was safe. This rude crazy waitress rolled her eyes and suck her teeth grab the plate of food off the table. My brother in formed her that a new dish needs to be made because of cross-contamination that only made her more infuriated with me.When I received the new dish it obviously was the same dish with the Pita just pulled out.
So if you enjoy having stomach cramps and diarrhea sweating and head fog then this is the place for you.
Don’t go

The “gluten free”pizza is cooked on the same surface as the regular pizza. Not sure they have a clue....

Their gluten free pizza is delicious. We were there to celebrate a friend’s party and 2 of the kids got fancy milk shakes. My little one was nervous about not going to be able to have something. The owner brought her into the back and the two of them made her a special sundae. Highly recommended eating here.
