The staff was super friendly and helpful. The food was super good classic diner food. I think if you’re sensitive to cross contamination this wouldn’t be the place but I personally had no reaction.

If you have celiac disease please do not eat here. There is no separate kitchen space. The chef was very nice but unfortunately I got very sick. You will get glutened.

But if you just eat gluten free without the disease, enjoy.

Staff was so fun and friendly! Brought us out a fruit bowl because she thought we waited a while. Best GF pancakes I’ve ever had.

Love the staff and the dive vibe, and all attempts were made to be gluten free. But no separate area or grill, lots of gluten was flying. Was sick after leaving. If you are not celiac, this place is so fun and fabulous!!

My daughter and I visited here while on vacation. The chef was amazing and told us all about their dedicated gluten free grill. I had gf blueberry pancakes and my daughter had a grilled cheese on fresh baked gf bread toasted on the grill. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about celiac. A surprising gem in a hole in the wall in a neighborhood setting. Outside seating available. Inside minimal booths and plenty of counter top seating.

I was slightly apprehensive when I drove up to The Broken Yolk Cafe due to the unassuming appearance of the old yellow building sitting quietly on the corner of a pretty residential area. But any doubt I had disappeared as soon as I went inside. I was immediately greeted by exceedingly friendly waiters. I ordered a cup of coffee and it came to me in a huge Christmas Vacation mug. I then ordered the gluten free pancakes and was assured that the grill would be cleaned. The owner then came over to where I sat and chatted with me about the gluten free oil she now uses (as opposed to the barley based one she used to use). She then invited me around to look at the oil box and showed me where she was cooking my pancakes, which were delicious.

All in all, The Broken Yolk is filled with a friendly atmosphere, attentive waiters, and excellent gluten free food. I look forward to going back and trying the gf french toast.

Stopped in here as the prior reviews looked good. Service was very slow, food was ok and there isn't a separate place to cook the gluten free food. There was one cook which appeared to be the owner and was too busy socializing. There was also two dogs in there and two more coming in on our way out. This is not a place that I would recommend.

This place is well worth the stop off the beaten path. A sweet little diner like setting. The owner, Doreen was so attentive to my Celiac. I just loved her and the staff. I had GF pancakes and her bread, both were so good! I was sad to leave and wish it was in my hometown.

They have amazing gf pancakes! The food is great and they have outdoor picnic tables for dining during nice weather. The inside is a bit dirty though but the food makes up for it.

Not only did we wait an hour to get our food, no one came to refill our drinks or check on us in that time. When we complained about the wait, the waitress told us we were welcome to leave... Seriously? Also, my gf pancakes were obviously not cooked fully. The gf bread for the sandwiches was tastey, but I don't know if I'll ever go back because of the poor service.

we have tried eating here twice. my son, 10, celiac. has tried the gulten free pancakes but they taste bad. they are heavy and have an after taste. i tried them myself. the cook was accomodating and did clean the grill for him. the cook uses an oil on the grill that has barley malt in it so be cautious if you have celiac and ask that it not be used. i suggested they just have a eletric griddle for gluten free. but they did not like that idea for some reason. given all the flour flying around we recommend not going here if seriously allergic. they at least are willing to try but they dont really get it.

Very friendly staff and interesting decor. Unfortunately, not really safe for Celiac's to order anything cooked on he grill. They have limited space so cook gluten free orders together with regular bread, pancakes, etc. If you have Celiac disease or gluten sensitivity you will probably not want to order anything cooked on the grill. They do have nice gf bread for sandwiches though.

I went here about a year ago and absolutely love this place. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was super fun. Call ahead, though. I just tried to go back, and they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays until flowers start blooming.
