This cafe no longer has a GF menu. Items are marked as GF but the cafe cannot guarantee that they are celiac friendly. We spoke to the cook so said she’d do her best to prepare GF kids pizzas for my kids that were celiac friendly. We took the risk as nowhere else in Thaihape seemed to be able to cater for celiacs. Food was ok but not outstanding

Once you get someone from the kitchen to answer your questions everything is fine. Food is clearly safe as our test is vomiting within 45mins of ingestion and no vomiting occurred! Winner winner!!

Stopped in on the strength of other reviews. They had an okay selection and they wrote coeliac on my order (soup) very clearly, however when I asked if butter was likely to be double dipped, the staff member said 'ah so you're proper coeliac' which set off a few alarm bells. Was then advised not to have the gluten free bread at all as it may not be cooked separately :( They were very nice about it and wanted to keep me safe, but I was slightly disappointed after the other rave reviews! Selection for vegetarian coeliacs was also quite limited if that's you.

Popped in with my family, including 6yo with Coeliac disease. They had knowledgeable staff, clear processes to prevent cross contamination, and a separate glute free menu, including food that appeals to kids. Gluten free cabinet food was all on the top shelf together, and separate tongs used. No puku problems for 6yo afterwards. To top it all off, a really cute cafe garden area.
