Okay so I came here with some coworkers. Despite the bad reviews I wanted to give it a try. If you’re looking for a place to only grab a drink and you like hard cider, this is great. There’s nine pin and another local cider that is quite tasty. As far as dining goes… well, I’d pass. Gluten free options are labeled, but there is very little. I opted for one of the salads, I think the only gluten free one. It had hard boiled eggs and grilled chicken. I informed the server and she was very sweet, she let me know that there is always potential for cross contamination but she would let the kitchen know about my celiac. When it came out, there was a fried piece of something from another plate on the corner of mine. It wasn’t touching my food, so I let it slide, but it did not make me comfortable. Being careless when bringing out gluten free meals is always a big red flag for me. Anyways, I ate the meal and it was okay. Not the most amazing salad. No reaction afterwards but would I ever eat there again? Probably not. I’d definitely get another nine pin through but only if that’s where my coworkers take us. There is also a gluten free dessert on the menu, I did not try it. Bottom line: I would be VERY cautious or avoid eating here if you’re celiac.

The GF options are minimal and disappointing. My boyfriend and I are both very gluten intolerant and whenever we eat here we both feel awful afterward, even though I always just get a simple chicken salad with oil and vinegar. We’ve just stopped going, it’s not worth it.

While the menu appears to have several options, they actually don't. The options are grilled, burgers (also grilled), or salads (some with grilled toppings). They cannot guarantee no cross contamination occurs on the grill, so that rules out everything grilled. Only one salad dressing is GF, so what's the point of getting a salad? I will give our waitress credit for having the knowledge to inform me of all of this.

Have been to Browns numerous times and was always a fan. Went for the first time tonight with my son who is a celiac because they tout a gluten free menu. I asked our server to tell the chef my son's order was for a celiac and to please pay special attention to cross contamination. she reassured us that they deal with gluten free orders all the time and was annoyed that I even asked. His steak came out on a bed of fries and when I asked whether or not they were cooked in separate (gf) oil, she returned to tell me they were not. After waiting for an hour for our food, he couldn't eat the steak because it was now contaminated. Browns lists this meal as gluten free and I am thoroughly disgusted that a food establishment would make such an enormous and potentially devastating mistake. Needless to say we left without eating anything.
