Amazing food and location, if you like fresh seafood from a locals place. They are knowledgeable about gluten if you ask and will check with the kitchen for you on things they want to check on. I have celiac and have never gotten sick here.
Update 2024: they sold to a new owner but it stays the same quality and has some gf options. They remain careful but do warn about the open kitchen.
They do NOT have GF penne/mac and cheese as others mentioned. The woman at the register was rude when I asked about GF. We ordered steamed crab, shrimp cocktail and halibut tacos. We had to ask for corn tortillas for the tacos. Everything tasted amazing! But it took just shy of an hour to get our food, and the cashier was rude.
I ordered the steamed clams and clam tots. We made sure to note that I have celiac when we ordered. The clam tots were marked GF on the menu, but the server came out while we were waiting to let me know that the fryer was not dedicated. She offered to refund the tots or replace them with another dish and suggested the crab mac and cheese. Everything was delicious. The steamed clams have a tiny bit of spice to them (I’m a wimp, but I thought it was the perfect amount) and the crab mac and cheese is super rich! If you’re also lactose intolerant, make sure to bring some Lactaid! They had DF options too, but I didn’t pay close attention to how many were GF and DF, because I did have Lactaid on me.
