As others have said, Bob, the owner is quite the character/entertainer. Very personable and cares about his customers. I had the bison burger, on a gf bun, based on his recommendation. The fries were terrific! Bob assured us that the fryer was kept gf as well which is a plus. They even had a gf peanut pie for dessert which I thought was surprising, considering it’s the low season. Overall, would highly recommend!!
A little unusual of a place but the owner gives this place plenty of character. He came to the table spoke to me about needing gluten free and what my options were (quite a few) I had the bison burger with fries and a peanut butter pie for dessert. Had to have the dessert as it’s not often a restaurant offers it. Food was good and safe. 5 stars
Such a cute, authentic place to stop! I felt SUPER safe with their safety precautions. Before I even asked, they mentioned gluten free and vegetarian options as well as as having a dedicated fryer, etc. My fiancé and I got burgers and they were DELICIOUS!! They also had 2 gluten free desserts (I got peanut butter pie). Really nice staff who care about all different allergies. Don’t be alarmed by the rustic look from the outside- super great spot. :-)
Hands down one of the best restaurants that I have been to. My bf who is a gluten eater agrees! The food was phenomenal and they are very accommodating. The owner Bob also served as the server and chef which created a very unique experience. Don't come here if you are in a hurry though. Staff is short so if they are busy you could wait a while. The place does look questionable when you walk in but it truly is a hidden gem! We ate here twice during our stay and if we would have discovered it sooner, we probably would have gone more!
We ordered wagyu burgers and they were some of the best burgers I've had in a long time, perfect after a day of hiking in Zion! We also had an amazing sorbet with fruit for dessert as the gluten free option. They have a dedicated fryer for the fries and gluten free options. The owner, Bob, is passionate and wants GF to be more than an afterthought. However, you may need to advocate for your table if they're low on staff, since you could be forgotten about. But the food is so good that the experience is worth it!
Was looking forward to visiting, drive there and lights off and nobody answered the phone. Hopefully it was a fluke, call before you go 🤷♀
Great meal! I had the burger with gluten free bun and fries from a dedicated gluten free fryer. I even had strawberry sorbet for dessert. It really hit the spot!
One review said this was a unique dining experience. It is, but don’t judge a book by its cover. Bob was amazing, and they have gluten-free figured out! Both of my kids were able to eat, and the food was delicious! Separate fryer for fries too! If we are ever back in the area, we would definitely come again. Thank you Bob!!
The food was amazing, And the staff was super knowledgeable and probably one of the best overall restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. They informed me that they cook their fries in a separate fryer from anything else. They even had a gluten free dessert option! I was extremely impressed!! Would 100% recommend for anyone looking for a unique dining experience.
Bob, the owner, is a real gem. Almost all of the menu can be made gluten free, and he has a separate fryer for gluten conscious people. Will definitely be back if we're in the area again!
We had a great experience here! The food was great and the portions were perfect! The food is kid friendly too. Their fryers are dedicated and the fries are all fresh and cut right there in restaurant. Me and my kids have celiac and we got burgers on gf bread and peaches and cream for dessert. My husband doesn’t need to eat gluten-free and he got a burger and banana cream pie. Everyone left full and satisfied. The only thing that I didn’t like was the pricing. Everything was pricey and as a young family it’s hard for me to justify such an expensive night out for just burgers. They meat is high quality so I understand but still expensive. There were also random charges like adding on money to the bill because we split a burger between my two young kids. Overall, we will probably never eat there again but that is because of the price not the food or service! If the price isn’t a problem, I would recommend this place!!
This restaurant seems to be pretty safe. I was able to have fries and an open face buffalo burger with no reaction. The operator, and I assume owner, was very friendly and helpful. It ended up being more expensive than I have anticipated but that's life. Either way I would definitely return here if I'm in the area.
Definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area! You get two open-faced burger patties with mayo, lettuce, tomato, & red onion on Canyon Bakehouse bread with fries on the side for about $20. All GF! We called and ordered 2 meals for curbside pick-up, ate one hot in our camper outside of the restaurant and saved one for later. Tasty!!
The reviews here are correct, can confirm! Their main fryer is dedicated GF. I had a delicious burger on GF bread, fries, a glass of wine, even dessert! I was very comfortable eating here after the owner and our server assured me that they take care of everyone there. So nice to find this place out here!!!
The sign out front says “worlds best buffalo burger” and they did not lie! Bob works in the kitchen and owns the place and made us feel beyond comfortable with what we were eating. He uses Canyons Bakehouse Bread and it pairs great with the burger. They also had a dedicated fryer, so we were able to have fries with the meal! I cannot suggest this place more as a FANTASTIC meal, gluten free or not.
The owner had made our dinner. We had the Buffalo burgers on GF bread. What a super tasty meal. All grass fed meat. One cook prepares the whole meal. Very knowledgeable of the glutens and keeping the cooking area clean. The restaurant is in part of a gift shop. Lots of cool things to see. The owner is a super friendly guy and socialized with us throughout our visit. A fantastic experience with excellent food.
This place is excellent, a surprising gem in the middle of the desert. I consider myself pretty sensitive and I’ve had no problems since eating lunch here about 9 hours ago. I had the bison burger with fries and they were truly outstanding. The fries are real potatoes, not some pre-made fakies. And I loved the chef who had a bit of crustiness to him. Honestly, one of the best burgers and fries I’ve ever had. And my wife (who eats gluten)loved it too.
Buffalo Trails rocks!!! Super rustic and delicious food. Bob was hilarious and a great host.
Just what I needed after mountain biking! Bob is great and his Bison burger is by far the best I have ever had. They raise and butcher their own bison, and make each party fresh. He apologized for not having any dessert I could eat (I was so full anyways) but we had a great discussion on viable options since I do a lot of baking myself! I look forward to visiting again!
We stopped by because of the sign outside advertising a world famous buffalo burger. We figured my celiac wife would just have a pattie on lettuce. We were surprised with gluten free bread which Bob served open faced. Bob has a separate frier for the fries and was careful about cross contamination. She did not get sick, she is pretty sensitive. You will wait a bit for your burger since Bob runs it all himself, but it is worth it. He'll mention not to add ketchup, salt or pepper to the burger before you try it, you shouldn't.
