Our GPS took us to the other side of the water, but once we made it to this place, we discovered an open tiki-type feel. It's not very large, so we waited for a table. They have shades, but we still got a bunch of sun, so wear sunscreen. They have Angry Orchard ciders, and I got a cheeseburger with a gluten free bun. Not very many other options, but I didn't get sick.

The grilled shrimp was really good. I had it on a gluten free bun. Kinda difficult to eat a shrimp sandwich when the shrimp keeps falling out. Otherwise would eat here again. They had grilled fish, shrimp, chicken, and burgers. The server was knowledgeable about cross contamination.

If you have been celiac or gluten free for a while then you know what you can and can not have. You can order the fries without the special dust, grill your food instead of frying it, have most of the sandwiches on greens or a gluten free bun. So many options here. They also have hard ciders.

Not willing to work with gluten free. Server was very rude about it. They do have a gf bun but they didn’t know if seasonings are gf and very clear that we were inconveniencing her life by asking.

Don’t expect to eat anything but a burger (with a GF bun, which is nice), no sides. Waiter didn’t know much about GF… According to him, salad dressings aren’t gf and fries are fried in the same fryer as hush puppies. To end on a good note, the burger was pretty decent and the view was nice:)

Really cool place to eat. it has an awesome view of the bay, especially around sunset. They have gf buns. They do not have a dedicated fryer so be easy if the fries. The staff is very knowledgeable and even recognized the difference between intolerance and celiac, so i felt really safe as a very sensitive celiac. Definately recommend this place!

Lovely outdoor restaurant with good view of the water. Knowledgeable staff that handles all allergies well. Food was yummy - GF buns meant any sort of burger was safe. Unfortunately, fries are cross-contaminated though. Overall good options for Florida Keys dining.

A mostly outdoor restaurant. They have gluten free buns. The waitress said, I could have anything from the grill. I chose a cheeseburger. It was very good. I had no sides. My husband had blackened Mahi and fries. He said, it was very good. The fries are not GF(fried with everything else).

I enjoyed my dining experience at Burdines. While they don’t have a GF menu, there were options available. They have a GF bun so I was able to order a burger, it was delicious and very filling.. The fries share a fryer with the hush puppies so that isn’t an option. However, the waiter suggested I substitute black beans and rice as a side, which worked out perfectly. I recommend the Italian Stallion Burger. Also, unrelated to food but be sure to go at sunset. The views are fabulous.

The fries are fried in the same fryer that their breaded fish sticks and other breaded items are. The only gluten free thing they have marked on the menu is the gluten free bun option. You need to know how to order BUT the food is delicious and the waitress is knowledgeable enough to know I shouldn’t order the fries.

Ordered the GF cheese burger. Excellent bun! Fries can be ordered GF (without rub). Nothing confirmed about cross contamination. Good service for 2 at the bar.

Good GF burgers. Waiter did not give us option of getting fries without the seasoning. He seemed knowledgeable about gluten, but was not helpful at all.

Tried to go for dinner it was 4 adults and a 2 year old. Were told 30 minutes. Which was fine but after a hour later and several groups were setted before us we left. Very disappointed in the service

My son had a burger on a GF bun. Waitress was very knowledgeable and my son loved the bun. They cooked the burger and bun on foil on the grill for us. We will definitely be back next trip.

This place is delicious! My daughter is gluten free and they brought her plain hand cut fries because their famous seasoning is not GF. Her GF bun was delicious. Service and atmosphere cannot be beat, and everything on the menu tried was fantastic!

I had a grilled mahi sandwich. It was so nice to have a sandwich and the roll was like a Kaiser roll and it was great. Wow yum! I had a salad as well and they accidentally put pita on it but I took it off and removed the salad pieces that touched it. I’m always weary of sending it back Bc they will just remove. So make sure you remind them no pita! They also had gluten free hard cider!!

Great Gluten free chicken sandwich! They can put any sandwich on a GF bun! Not sure about CC but no reaction yet .

Ate here twice with our Celiac daughter- no contamination! We had 2 different servers, both of whom were knowledgeable and understanding. The do have gf buns, and anything cooked on the grill can be made gf. The do not have a dedicated fryer, and warned us not to let her have the fries. The rest of the family enjoyed great food and a view as well!

This place was great. My hubs got a burger on a gf roll. My son got sliders with no roll. Only beer and wine, my hubby got a cider. Everyone cleared their plates. Food was delicious. We loved the fries. Not breaded, but they share a fryer. Would definitely go back. Outside seating on the water. No frills place, but worth it!

The menu noted a gluten-free bun option for their burgers. The waitstaff was knowledgeable about the cross contamination with the fries. The seasoning on the fries or “dust” as the menu refers to it also contains gluten.

The staff was not very knowledgeable. They have gluten free buns, but cook them on the same grill that they use to toast regular bread. They also cook the meat on the same grill they use to grill regular bread. The fryer is not dedicated gluten free. Not safe for Celiacs. We left without ordering.

If I could give less than one star I would. Went there, waiter looked at me so funny when I told him I was Gluten free and needed menu or to know what items on menu were GF. He just looked at me funny and repeatedly said - we have gluten free bread. I did not feel comfortable with his lack of knowledge and left as I did not want to get sick on vacation. Went to Castaways, right next door and had a wonderful experience.
