Really enjoyed having gluten free Asian food! Got the egg rolls, calamari, pad Thai and 48hr beef pho. All were delicious and would definitely return.

I am a sensitive celiac and I used to love eating here. I would eat here all the time, once a month for years. But I haven't ate here for two years because I got sick once. My now fiance and I had our first date here. On our one year celebration we ate here and I had a very severe reaction, something was contaminated. I usually order pho but that time I ate fried rice with pineapple or something and a green tea smoothie. The pho had always been safe but I think there is contamination with some fried dishes?– at least, back then.

1/100 times I ate here it was safe, good food.

Finding a place that serves Asian food and can handle a soy allergy is basically a miracle. And the food was absolutely delicious! I had the pho and it was so good. My boyfriend (who has no allergies) had a shrimp dish and it disappeared just as fast as my pho did!

It was a pho-ntastic experience! The guy is a riot the place has some character. Karaoke on Fridays. Food was delish! He was knowledgeable on the menu. Had a celiac and gluten sensitive person in our group, no issues. We will be back.

Super fun Portland experience. Staff are great and the the karaoke we accidentally arrived for was awesome..our waiter joined and shredded the guitar during a few songs. Food was excellent and traditional.

This place is so fun. Such a classic atmosphere and the owner is SO nice! Super delicious and safe food (everything GF!). I highly recommend the 48 hr beef broth + the pork egg rolls. Only thing to note is this is a family run business and they basically only have one front of house staff so please be patient when going here:) you might have to wait a little bit for your food but it’s really delicious and so safe, it’s worth the wait.

This place is great, everything on the menu is gluten free including homemade hoisin sauce. The pho is very tasty with the 40 hour beef broth, highly recommend!

I’m a big fan of Butterfly Belly! The owner is super friendly and happy to give recommendations if you dine in. I’ve dined in and gotten delivery/takeout from here and would highly recommend it! The food is delicious and the entire kitchen is celiac safe.

The food was pretty good. The atmosphere is extremely weird, which I would probably like except I’m so nervous whenever I eat out. I had pad Thai with tofu and it was middle of the road ok. My partner got the pho and said it was excellent. He’s not gf so has more to compare to. I will eat here again because it’s so nice to have Asian food and I would like to try more things from the menu.

This place is an experience!

You walk in to karaoke setup and some angel dolls of some sort, along with a rope/post (like a VIP section, but not as fancy).

There's one person who works the entire front of the house, he's very amenable and loves "pho" puns.

Would definitely recommend, but as I said, it's an experience.

Delicious! Amazing house-made sauces, tons of flavor, and very well prepared! The beef pho & vermicelli salad were highlights, and shout out to the egg rolls. Will make sure to go back ASAP during my visit.

My whole family is celiac except for me, but I eat Gluten free with them to be safe. But I can still eat regular food and compare. This place so SO GOOD! You cannot tell the difference, and the flavors are amazing. You can definitely bring a crowd here that are both GF and non- GF with no problem. The pho is spectacular, as well as the egg rolls, pan fried rice, and ginger chicken. The staff are super nice and accommodating, as we were in a bit of a rush. Love this place would definitely be back!

They get the three stars for being all gluten free, but it was honestly not that great of a meal. Things tasted like they were made in old oil. Even the pho tasted like old greasy oil. We ordered the appetizer sampler, and the wings were not great, egg rolls were tiny and tasted like old oil. The lettuce wraps were ok. But the meal in general just tasted dirty. Maybe I’m used to something different or better? But I would not make this place a priority. It wasn’t worth what it cost.

Delicious! The staff was delightful coming in & we were seated right away. There is a vegetarian/vegan menu along with the regular. Both are 100% GF. They even have homemade GF Hoisin sauce! We got the fried egg rolls and each got a pho. They were delicious! Definitely would return, and worth a trip for yummy GF Asian cuisine!!

The only dedicated gluten free & gmo free pan-Asian restaurant in the world. The owner takes pride in this, as he should! Their pho was out of this world (and they steep the broth for 12-24+ hours), as were the egg rolls. I was a little let down by the pad thai, it just didn’t have much flavor. Pan fried rice & pho were the clear winners at our table. Their is an open mic with an option for karaoke and three different people played and/or sang while we were there and they were all fantastic.

This might be the best meal I’ve ever eaten. Incredible! I ordered the butterfly appetizer which lets you sample everything and the pure joy of eating a bunch of fried food was amazing. The server was funny and the food was all Gf! We had egg rolls, an app-sized pho (pho sure), butterfly tofu, vermicelli wok chay with curry, and the chicken rang. We thought the wok chay was a bit bland but everything else was awesome. Would definitely come again to try more next time we’re in town!

100% gluten-free! Food was very tasty, and the variety was amazing. This was my first time having fried egg rolls since my Celiac diagnosis - yum! We were only in town for a long weekend, but I plan on going back to Butterfly Belly next time I'm in the area.

Only minor issue was that the karaoke was LOUD. The owner did turn it down shortly after we got there (we reached the end of karaoke night), but if you have sensory issues, it may be a little bit too much.

What an excellent experience! The owner was very charming and funny! He was waiting tables, seating guests, handling to-go orders, manning a karaoke set up, watching his daughter, and still had time to chat and joke with customers. I’ve never seen anyone work so hard and I hope he has people to help him! I tipped 100%. The egg rolls were pretty good but the pho was phenomenal. The best pho I’ve ever had. Also the owner & his daughter sang a few karaoke songs and it was extremely cute 🥰 Truly worth a stop & please tip well! I went for an early dinner and that’s probably your best bet to avoid long wait times

Ordered takeout solely due to online menu saying it is a gf kitchen and the supporting reviews here. I hope that’s true, but wish I’d confirmed with some questions. Food tasted great—and maybe it was the oil not cc—but I had my usual accidental-gluten GI reaction. Felt pretty beat up the next morning. Just FYI—maybe confirm no GF on ordering!
