Love all the muffins here! And I also love that everything is also dairy free and kosher!
100& GF and DF so that was amazing, but it didn't taste as yummy as we hoped. We tried the corn blueberry muffins (dry), sour cherry muffin (better but still dry), pecan bar (tasted like chocolate) and the choc vanilla cake (was really good!)
Pecan tart is amazing. The Amy cake is good. The chocolate items are OK albeit a bit dry.
OMG , Happy Thanksgiving to me! I got a few of the little cakes to try and my only complaint is that they're so amazingly delicious that i'm shamelessly eating them all 😍😍😍
Best thing to ever happen in the celiac community! Amazing bundt cakes, cookies and brownies.
All gluten free bakery. Cookies, brownies, cakes and bars. Yum!!!!
If you have celiac or allergies, this place should be your go-to spot. This should be a national chain..... wish they had sandwiches
This place is by far the best I’ve tried so far and I’ve tried quite a few GF bakeries. The cupcakes are so delicious, everything is so moist and stays that way for days. I don’t know how they do it, i wish there were more around!
Love this bakery and everything is super moist and good considering they are also dairy free. I love the muffins and mini breads! My only complaint is that the times they’re open are inconsistent and wish they posted online which days they would be closed for Jewish holiday because they’re kind of out of the way for me
So delicious and all celiac friendly!
AMAZING! I bought a bunch of their baked goods, I am gf and df and had no problem. Very delicious, tastes like the real thing. Not expensive either which is surprising for the city!
I'm always wary about dairy free AND gf products (I'm only gluten free) because so many just does not taste good. However, By the Way Bakery totally changed my perspective. Their muffins were SOOOO good and moist! I seriously wish I had bought more! The scones and tea cakes were also SO good! I'm still dreaming about the muffins!
I bake gf/df frequently and I’m trying to figure what magical unicorn essence they put in their cake! So incredibly light and delicious and their icing is heavenly! The staff was lovely, too. No dine in. Grab your delights and go.
Amazing! Dedicated gluten free bakery with zero chance for CC. Delicious food, impressive selection and reasonable prices given the 100% gluten free status, pricey if that isn’t considered. Good coffee, too. I wish they had seating! I had no reaction, and I’m a sensitive celiac with fast response to gluten.
Apple donut and lemon poppy cake were amazing! Everything in house was gluten free. Couldn’t see all they had to offer because there was no menu present and not all items in the case were labeled.
BTW Bakery has hands down the best gluten free muffins and mini cakes in the city. Super moist and delicious! If you have other allergies or intolerances they have a list at the counter of the Ingredients in their products to help you out as well (I ask them on a regular basis bc I can't have soy and they do use soy in many of their products). They're always friendly when I make them get out the list too! The only 'bad' thing is that towards the end of the day they are often all out of muffins and some of the mini cakes so there's nothing left to buy :( when I happen to be in the neighborhood. (Also, just so you realize this is a sweet-treat bakery, not a bakery with bread - that's a whole different GF ball game)
The staff was knowledgeable and very friendly. Everything is GF and totally safe for Celiac people (which I am). Great assortment of pastries, brownies, cookies, and cake. No negative side effects whatsoever. 10/10 will return!
Better than the Lexington location.
Lemon Poppyseed muffin is amazing!
Great treats! The lemon poppy seed cake my fav!
Amazing! Tried cupcakes and an assortment of cookies. The almond cookies were best thing we ever ate! Ever! Beyond delicious that we went back for more. So nice walking into a place that's totally gluten free with such a great assortment of delicious goodies!
Great if you want to eat muffins or cookies or cakes. Useless if you want a simple loaf of healthy bread, which - call me old-fashioned - I expected to find at "a bakery".
yum yum yum. love the challah. cakes are amazing
Lots of options but it wasn't worth going to. Dry tasting
What a great find! This place has delicious goodies and Challah on Fridays.
Fantastic. Walked 20 min in the rain and they did not disappoint! 😋
Tried their brownies and a Chocolate Cinnamon muffin, both delicious. Very good customer service. :)
Good GF bakery. Try the little chocolate bundt cakes.
The almond cookies are definitely worth a try. Every item I tried was amazing. Luckily it was right by my hotel so it was kind of a daily routine for breakfast but would be worth the trip if you are a bit further away. Friendly staff as well. It's hard to find good gf baking. This is worth checking out
My favorite gluten free bakery in NY! I will drive out of my way to come here. The staff are very nice and the muffins and brownies are delicious and also dairy free! I am not dairy free although I am celiac. I have had awful dairy free products with bad aftertaste before but they do it very well in this bakery. My all time favorite are the cranberry muffins! Only reason for 4 instead of 5 star was because we drove about an hr out of our way and they were closed for a week (Jewish holiday) which I wish we knew. But we will be back for more next time!
Awesome brownies! Also liked the apple-crumble mini cake. Dry muffins.
Marble tea cake is my absolute favorite! Also love the brownies, chocolate chip cookies and muffins. It's always my first stop when I get to the city and my last stop before I leave. Highly recommend!
Since Tatz closed I have to fill the hole in my heart. This just doesn't quite do it -- a lot of the stuff is a bit gritty. The almond cookies are really incredible, though, and I like the cloud cakes. Do not recommend red velvet or other attempts on more traditional cakes -- they just don't come out right.
The almond cookies are amazing! The muffins are awesome. This is a great place to visit when we are in the city. Bonus is a Dunkin Donuts coffee shop close by
Amazing! The new challah is outrageous. Everything was delish.
Completely gluten free!! My favorite items are their double chocolate bundt cake and their cookies. Some items are not good though. Get a variety. They once made gluten free sugar cookies for valentines day that were amazing but I haven't seen them again. Also you can order whole cakes. 48 hours notice and they can personalize it.
Best lemon pound cake!
Excellent--sour cherry coffee cake especially. No savory options and sometimes they seem caught up in special orders.
