Review of By the Way Bakery

Well it should really be called ‘Out of the Way’ Bakery!! We needed gluten and dairy free goodies for a tea party so we trekked to the Upper East Side specially as all their baked products fit the bill.

It turned out to be a good decision - there’s so much choice for us gf/df folks which is not the norm.

I splurged - $5/6 for cakes, $2/3 for cookies. The almond cookie was light and tasted like marzipan- delish! The ginger cookies are also great. The lemon poppyseed and sour cherry cakes were moist and flavorful. The cakes were quite filling so I have several leftover - looking forward to eating them later....yummm!
