C & K Smokehouse BBQ

We stopped here while driving through on a road trip. I told the woman serving that I had a gluten allergy and ordered 1/4 lb pulled pork. She gave me a sandwich with a bun. When I brought it back and explained the problem she just grabbed the sandwich, tossed it in the trash, and gave me a scoop without a word. I aIso asked if the banana pudding was gf and her reply was "it has dairy products." I ended up eating my pork with Cole slow, which was tasty enough, but I am not at all confident that I won't get sick from this meal.

This is a mom and pop BBQ place and although they are small, the way they have their areas set up make for minimal cross contamination. I am very sensitive and have not gotten sick.They smoke their meats and they are tender and amazing! The pulled pork is my favorite followed by the chicken. They do have rack ribs, but I feel those are better with one of their homemade sauces. We had the green beans and garlic potatoes as sides, and again, not disappointed. The baked beans looked good too, but they were forward of the fried okra on the line, so I passed. Give them a try because this is the tenderest, fullest of natural flavor I Gabe ever tried!
