Review of Cafe 35

A lot of GF options on the menu. We came for dinner on a Friday night (they only serve dinner fri and sat). I ordered the sirloin with salad and loaded mashed potatoes. My daughter has a wheat allergy so I’m GF WF while I’m breastfeeding. She liked the mashed potatoes. We talked with the server to make sure everything was GF, seasonings, etc. however when steak came out, there were fried onion rings on top. Really disappointed in server and kitchens lack of knowledge. She checked with manager and they were not GF, so they took back. Brought me a new steak but Husband thinks it was the same one as it wasn’t hot. No reactions, yet, as her allergy isn’t severe and shows as eczema. Probably won’t come back as we were traveling. The atmosphere and location were great, margaritas awesome, and very kid friendly with outdoor seating. But from GF perspective, I was definitely disappointed.
