Cafe Aquatica

This is one of those places that you want to keep a secret! The food is incredible, I had crab and poached eggs on gluten-free toast, and they were so generous with the crab. Food and coffee are fantastic, but the real star here is the setting. Lots of outdoor dog friendly seating on the mouth of the Russian River where it meets the ocean. The reason I would like to keep this a secret is there is very limited parking. Definitely hard to get in here on weekends.

Such a cute little cafe! Coffee was delicious and they have gluten free bread and bagels available. Unsure on cross contamination precautions. Had a great view of the river and was overall a nice visit.

Funky hippie cafe in the heart of Jenner (all of 5 or so non-residential buildings). The sign says everything is organic and freshly made. The almond milk latte was only so-so. The almond milk was that unsweetened stuff that tastes like brown rice.

But lunch was much better. They have gluten free clam chowder (mention no croutons). It was not thickened, creamy and full of clams and fresh celery. Any of the sandwiches can be made on gluten free bread or as a salad. We had a tempeh and lox salad. The lox was fresh and the tempeh came in a cup on the side. The salad was fresh and had lots of pumpkin seeds.

I added one star for ambiance. They are located right on the river with many chairs outside for lounging and eating. When we were there, a two man band was playing on a small stage right on the river. The music, good food, amazing view and perfect weather made it a lunch to remember.

Gluten free clam chowder. It's rare I can ever eat clam chowder! This place is great. Oven view, friendly staff.

A place to grab a coffee and a house made gf muffin. They don't open until 8:00 am which seems late for my morning cup o' joe. They told me to get there early because they frequently sell out of the gf ones. However, I arrived at opening and the gf muffins were still in the oven. Had day old, two flavors, both good. I don't think there is anything for celiacs on the lunch menu but I didn't ask.
