Cafe Archetypus

I used to LOVE this place before I had to go gluten free! Just went back for my friend's birthday (for the first time in years) and got glutened. 🤢🤮 I just spoke with somebody on the phone about it (her name was Jade, and she was the sweetest thing ever) and she confirmed my suspicions about what I ate and was also VERY determined to make things right. She said that the head chef (who is better educated on these matters) was out that night due to an injury, and that she's going to have a serious conversation with the kitchen staff now about this...and also do her own research on gluten...because what happened to me was NOT okay!

I initially put this review in as a 1-star, but I'm changing it to 3 due to my conversation with Jade. She really was the sweetest, most compassionate and understanding restaurant employee I've ever spoken to about gluten. If you have any concerns about eating here, I suggest you go on a day that she's working. (She told me she's in on Saturdays.)

***Warning: If you ever go here, DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING THAT COMES WITH A "CHIPOTLE GARDEN BURGER!!!" I suspected that this was a Morning Star Farms burger after my reaction, and was correct! They ALSO have Impossible Burgers on the menu, so when I was told mine would be okay I assumed that was what it would be...but it very obviously wasn't... 😓

I would not advise going here if you have Celiac disease. Other members of our party without celiac were happy though.
