Cafe Cravings in White Bear, MN is located just north of Highway 694, just east of Highway 61 on County Road E. We feature made to order breakfasts served all day, along with homemade bakery & desserts, delicious soups, salads, and sandwiches. We have a beautiful patio and cozy fireplace. Full coffee and espresso drinks; all available through our drive thru window. Our desserts are made from scratch and are amazing. We offer a separate gluten-free menu along with in housed baked bakery & desserts. We also have prepacked treats made in a local dedicated gluten-free facility for those that require the confirmation of no cross contamination. We are a mixed use kitchen/restaurant and advise that diners use caution when visiting. While we aim to do our best with all diners with special dietary needs, we are human and can't make any guarantees. Thank you for giving us a try!
I have been GF and coming here for years. This place is awesome! It's a great location to pick up food on the way up north or just coming off White Bear Lake. I usually get their GF chocolate chip pancakes, but their sandwiches are amazing also. In the summer they have a nice outdoor seating area. Get there early tho! They close at 2 every day.
Although there is a gluten free menu, this restaurant does not have a dedicated gluten free area for preparation. Service was ok.
Never would have discovered this place without the teamwork of folks who compiled a Google Drive doc of Twin Cities eateries. I wanted to find a brunch spot on the way to Stillwater with some friends. They could have their "normal" food and I felt safe eating mine! Win-win. I enjoyed the quiche & gf bread! And the super cute patio!
Lovely experience! Popular spot so expect to wait in line or order ahead. Apple walnut pancakes were DELICIOUS!! I will definitely be back for some soup and omelette and pastries! Got a scone and muffins to go so hoping those are just as yummy! Felt safe eating the food too and not sick!
Just try to find a better GF muffin! You won’t, because it doesn’t exist. These are fabulous. My favorite is the banana chocolate chip. They are huge, with a big muffin top. I’ve eaten here tons of times, and never been glutened. There are three of us who have Celiac in our family. Run to this place. It’s safe, great coffee, and the food is great. Try the apple pancakes too.
This place is disgusting. Thankfully I didn’t get sick, but the food was not good. The servers cleaned tables off and then immediately brought fresh food out to guests without washing hands. One waitress’s hair was gross and in her face and she kept pulling it back and then serving food. Nasty and unsanitary. Also a high probability for cross contamination.
We had brunch today: The strawberry-rhubarb muffin tasted like a muffin, with an actual top,and not just dense-cake-in-a-muffin-liner!! Took some frozen ones home. Lots of GF options, excellent omelet (but the hashbrowns weren’r extra-crispy as requested). Very busy Saturday morning, and although we found a table right away, it did take a while to get our order for four.
They are offering drive thru service and you can eat on their beautiful patio. The gf quiche was delicious but pricey for the portion size. The scone was super dry and kind of tasteless and over-priced in my opinion.
When ordering, they asked if I had celiac or an intolerance so they knew if they needed to keep the food prepped separately (checking if it was by choice), and they knew all of the answers to my questions right away!
They had many gluten/dairy free options: products from bittersweet bakery, housemade GF treats, and even daiya cheese to sub in.
They have a separate toaster for GF bread, so you can even have toast with your breakfast! They have UDIs bagels as well.
I was pleasantly surprised after coming here, as was my non-celiac family. The inside is small and quaint, which through me off a bit, but they have fresh, high quality food and many organic options as well.
The gluten free breakfast and lunch menus were huge! I’m used to only having a few choices and having more of a “boring” meal, but there are so many great options (and many healthy choices as well!).
I’ll definitely become a regular here. I have celiac and a milk allergy, and I did not get sick.
GF apple walnut pancakes to die for! Cute little cafe with a good number of GF goodies to choose from. Been there a couple time because the pancakes are so much tastier than other restaurants’ GF pancakes. GF menu pricier than regular prices, but you’ll find this to be typical at most restaurants.
Phenomenal!! Super awesome staff. Was so pleasantly impressed with fabulous food and they're true understating of celiac/gluten free. Had a great gluten free selection and took this very seriously, which we so greatly appreciate. Just purely an awesome restaurant!
I could not put into words how amazing this place was! they also have many gf/dairy free options. fell in love with a full menu of options, including desserts!
