Tested the GF injera with my Nima sensor, and it came back as containing gluten. Disappointing.

Amazing Food!!! Everything is GF (except 1 bread). Extremely tasty food - vegan & vegetarian & meat choices. I have eaten here once before and am lucky they now offer their food packaged at Whole Foods (20th St. & Camelback, Phx). Not once have I had a negative reaction. LOVE this place!!!

The gluten free options here are fantastic! We have never tried Ethiopian food before and so after reading reviews and being hesitant we decided to try something new! Needless to say we were not disappointed! We did the platter for two with multiple meats and veggies. Having not had sour dough bread in close to 16 years the gluten free injera was exquisite! The staff was very friendly and double checked that our entire meal was gluten free. I would recommend this highly especially if you truly want a new experience.

Ate here for the first time with friends last night. Delicious food. Waitress said everything on the menu is gluten free except one soup and the regular injera (bread you use to eat your other items). They offer a gluten free injera made out of Teff. My husband and I shared a party for two platter with the gluten free injera. It was huge and extremely tasty. The items on the platter included lentil items, salad, beef, chicken, and lamb items, and vegetable items. The also sold many vegetarian items. It was a fabulous experience and I look forestland to eating here again in the future. I have had Celiac for 6 years and am still apprehensive about trying new and different restaurants. Cafe Lalibela was wonderful and I did not feel a bit sick after eating there. I read many reviews before eating here online. Everyone praised the food. Many even said the Teff injera had better flavor than the regular. We will absolutely be back.
