Stopped here when we were heading down south after seeing reviews on this app. Great selection of gluten free options & staff were really helpful and friendly. I asked for chips, and they advised me that the fryer for today had unfortunately been used for frying bread but could offer me other options - really appreciated that! In addition to the food, the cafe was lovely and cosy so made for a great stop. Would recommend!

This local cafe is really well placed on the A66 so perfect for travelling to/from Carlisle. Its Trip Advisor reviews were overwhelmingly positive & mentioned GF, so we decided to stop. While they don’t have a dedicated GF menu, there are loads of options including bread (so sandwiches, beans/eggs on toast etc), jacket potatoes, soups, salads, and a few mains. I had the gammon, pineapple, egg & chips. Huge portions, friendly staff, very reasonably priced & delicious. I asked & they do have a dedicated fryer, but double check this on your visit if you have the chips.
