Had an amazing experience at 1807, a lovely restaurant with lovely staff. I had the chicken ceaser wrap (GF wrap) and it was amazing, the staff were quick to inform me about the allergens in the ceaser dressing along with the fact that the chips would be in the same oil as gluten products previously, they seemed to be very aware of cross contamination and had a very large variety of gluten free options and substations. I will definitely be back!
Very well informed staff who confirmed there is a separate preparation area for gluten free options, which were clearly marked on the menu, and flagged with me without asking that chips were cooked in the same fryer so not suitable for coeliacs. Food was good, staff were really nice, and it’s also dog-friendly
Lots of care taken with checking menu options. The menu is well highlighted Service friendly and welcoming
Ordered the baked potato with Scottish Cheddar, which came with a side salad. Potato was pretty good.
Most sandwiches and baked potatoes can be done gluten free, though the server suggested avoiding the chili and pulled pork toppings due to possible cross contamination. Waitstaff was accommodating and able to answer questions about the menu.
I’ve only eaten here once, so I haven’t had a chance to explore much of the potential menu variations/adaptations. I had a baked potato, which was excellent, and gf cheesecake, also delicious. I know that they also own The Granary cafe next door, where I’ve eaten plenty of times.
The staff are very knowledgeable and very helpful. They have GF bread and can likely adapt several dishes. Great place for an evening cocktail, too.
