I tried their strawberry churro cupcakes and hibiscus lemon donuts. The cake was pretty sweet but both me and my gluten-eating partner enjoyed them a lot!!

Staff was super helpful in answering questions and giving recommendations.

Cake Girl is a wonderful bakery fully dedicated to gluten free cakes, cupcakes, cookies and baked donuts. Everything is also vegan, dairy free, egg free, nut free and soy free and 100% delicious! They also make espresso drinks and other coffees. They are located inside the St. Louis Pharmacy in the Boyle Heights area of East Los Angeles. Special cakes can be ordered on their website.

Cake Girl is located inside a pharmacy. The pharmacy was open, but when I went inside Cake Girl was closed. I asked & an unfriendly employee told me no bakery items all weekend, no notice. I asked to use the restroom (since the store/pharmacy) was open. They refused.

mmmmm good. Great selection and delicious. A lot of gluten free cakes are heavy and dense. Cake girl bakes cakes like I remember from the old days of care-free gluten days. Recommend!

Great selection. Donuts, cupcakes, brownies, coffee, tea! Also caters to many other allergens, other than coconut. It’s hidden inside a pharmacy, so don’t be alarmed if you don’t quite think you’re at the right spot! There’s also a record shop just a few shops down — checked that out after!

this place deserves more hype… completely gluten free/vegan bakery and it’s delicious and not crazy expensive!

Was visiting LA from Seattle and looking for GF places. Had to check this place out as soon as I saw the menu and that they are 100% GF. Took a bit to figure out that they are INSIDE the St. Louis Pharmacy on the corner. Folks behind the counter were super friendly and it was too hard to decide on one thing, so I got three! Strawberry Churro Cupcake, Cinnamon Coffee Cake, and a Cookie Sandwich! All such great treats for anyone who needs GF, SF, V etc.

Totally gluten free facility; also dairy free/egg free (so vegan) and tree nut/peanut free, so great allergy find all around. They do use coconut flour which may be an issue for some but was safe for us--not my favorite flavor but overall things were good and it was a real treat to have a safe bakery. Donuts were good (cake style donuts), cupcakes etc. It's INSIDE the St. Louis Pharmacy, so kind of quirky--but you go in and it smells delicious!

I tried a variety of cupcakes — their hostess-style chocolate, strawberry matcha and strawberry-filled churro, which they highly recommended. All we’re about 30% sweeter than they needed to be, but the hostess-style was by far my favorite. Slightly more balanced than the others. The sweetness of the strawberry churro cupcake, with all its components and the addition of the strawberry jam, was almost unbearable. Not sure if I would come back, but I really appreciate what they are doing to serve our community. Less is more! Less is more 🧘🏻‍♂

This bakery is 100% gluten free and vegan. Keep in mind it’s located inside the pharmacy. Cupcakes, cake donuts, brownies, coffee cake and whole cakes are always available. Along with few savory treats. Amazing coffee and handcrafted beverages too!

Delicious coffee cake, so moist and fluffyand so many other options. She was so sweet she even gave me some cookies to try. Also for my coffee she gave me oatly milk and sugar on the raw
